took my xjr1300 out late morning,it rained for a change, got home, filled a bucket with water to clean it & my mobile phone was in my shirt pocket,no guessing for where it ended up.roll on the summer.
Oh No....better than it drooping down the pan though Tapps :mfr_lol:
was it ringing when you fished it out?
ha ha,i took the back off, removed the rear cover & battery, put it on top off a radiator over night & to my amazement.IT WORK'S,no harm done, just as well,11 month's remaining on my contract with no INSURANCE on it :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop:
Another trick is to get as much water out as you can and then put it in a bag with a handful of uncooked rice.
Leave overnight and it should work with no heat required.
However, regardless of the phone model, remove the battery and leave it out until the phone is dry.
If you have an iPhashion then it serves you right for buying a phone with a permanent battery. :mfr_lol:
When I have one of those days it's normally when doing DIY or working on the bikes and almost inevitably results in me bleeding. :death:

I dropped a mobile into salt water on the beach once and that killed it instantly.
But the stupidest thing I have seen was a mate of mine who spilled his drink on his stereo, which was turned off at the time, and then he turned it on to see if it still worked.
That made me smile..... Sorry..

You could have gotten it working quite easily.
Remove battery, rinse in tap water for a few minutes (need to get all the salt out) and then dry with the rice trick.
It's when the salty water dries that you get problems.
As the saline gets more concentrated it's conductivity increases which increases the probability of short circuits and permanent damage.
This is why you MUST remove the battery ASAP.
By the time I fished it out of the drink it was already dead (circuits fried).
And since it was an old Motorola brick I just bought a new, smaller phone.
