Title: 3D printing
Post by: Kwikasfuki on November 17, 2012, 10:38:54 PM
I've known about 3D printing for a while but the prices were ridiculously high. Looks like they have started to come down with the technology, process and materials improving all the time.

Imagine manufacturing your own parts for your bike. It could be for a custom farkle to replacement for an existing part (within reason of course). Definitely going to be keeping my eye on this technology

Indeed!

I spotted a bloke on the internet that was using this to manufacture special GoPro mounts for various applications and selling them on the net.  He also sold the print programs...

Business opportunity?

Cheers

There's a lot of opportunity with these.

Need some hand guards? Think I'll print one.

Want to find the best windscreen design? Print a few and the get a custom one made.

There's loads of possibilities with these.
