First ride out today for over a month and everything was sweet. Usually I feel a bit rusty if I haven't been on the bike for a while but I felt good today, must be refreshed from the holiday.
The bike started first time without any faltering although I had a message on my dash saying transponder battery low, so first job after checking the bike over was to go to Maplins and rectify that.
I also turned in and out the preload shock adjuster just to be sure nothing had seized and that was also fine.
I travelled out to Howden and then onto Holme on Spalding Moor, continued towards Wetwang and then Fridaythorpe where I called into Seaways to be surprised by the number of bikers there for a weekday in cold conditions.
I enjoyed a very healthy meal of eggs, chips, sausages, bacon and beans with a hot choccy before the journey home via York.
I texted Winston from the cafe as its his favourite haunt but he was getting ready for work so couldn't join me.
Two guys turned up, one on a white K16 BMW, common as muck they are, :sleep1: mines the bike with the top box about fourth down the line.

Anybody else get out anywhere on their bike today?
Nope... Saving up for an overdue service and tyres...
Looks like you had a good trip
Left mine in the garage at work on Monday night ... It was very cold and I had been riding all day and thought #1 Ride 60 miles home.
# 2 Go to the pub for a couple of hours and get the train home.
The Bike is still at work !!!!!! :whistling:
Both of you are light weights :mfr_lol:
Looks like you had a good ride out Steve, with the usual belly buster.
Illness has prevented me from riding for a while, and I have only been able to get out once since I returned from France on the 7th September !
I'm really hoping to be able to get out within the next fortnight......just watch it'll probably bloody snow now :mfr_lol:
Roger, sorry to hear you aren't too well at the moment, I hope you feel more yourself soon.
Cheers Steve, I am hopefully on the mend now, I've been keeping as busy as possible as watching "daytime T.V" would only serve to make me feel even worse.
Good thing is, that I've lost over 3 stones in the last 7-8 weeks, and am consequently feeling just a little bit weak, maybe that's not so 'good' :mfr_lol: :whistling:
