a good BIKER friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer about 3 year's ago,he lost the battle on monday,he was a great bloke, only 51 year's young & well into motorbike's,he's had several, myself & another mate each have a GTR1400 & a YAMAHA XJR1300 i asked his wife if she minded the 2 of us turning up on the bike's to his funeral, she was overjoyed at the offer,we are both leading the way to the cremitorium & the church,we have chosen to use the NOISEY XJR'S as opposed to the queiter gtr's.i feel realy honoured to do this.I HOPE THE SUN'S SHINING ON MONDAY THE 12TH.
tapps.. sorry to hear about your friend. at only 51 years of age, it is much to young for life to be taken away. I think it's a brilliant idea about riding your bikes to the funeral, I'm sure your friend would appreciate the thought with him being a keen biker. hope the day stays fine for you and his family.
thank's it's very sad, still trying to get my head around it.
that truely is an honour, im sure you will have mixed emotions on the day , good luck and i hope it goes well for you
Good for you Tapps, your friend would be proud of you being at his send off whilst riding your bikes.
A pal of mine was killed riding one of his beloved Triples last November, about 30 of us turned up at his funeral on our bikes, it was awesome
I hope the day goes as well as can be expected
What a lovely thing to be able to do.A great send off for your friend, although taken too young.
My last 'official' duty 2 days before I retired was to lead a funeral cortege for a friend who died from cancer.
It is an honour, although one I wish I never had to do...
Sorry to hear about your friend Tapps, and I am sure he would be well pleased to have you up there at the front leading him along ........
Sorry to hear about your loss
