Title: A short autumn ride....
Post by: Bryn on October 27, 2012, 03:01:11 PM
Fresh today, and no sign of the snow up North... so went out on the bike for an hour or so around SouthWest Leicestershire.....

First stop was Market Bosworth. Site of the Battle of Bosworth August 22nd 1485 ....They're presently trying to confirm the identity of bones dug up in a car park in Leicester as Richard III's .

Market Bosworth  has a lovely country park, which today was pretty empty

Across the road is Bosworth Hall Hotel.. a nice driveway with another photo opportunity

A little further on in Wellsborough  ( Just off the A444) is a bit of abandoned machinery.... Old meets new (er)

Another few miles on and we have Gibbet Lane , Congerstone... I tend to take a photo of all my bikes next to the gibbet post.... the board at the side explains it all

Only about 40 miles today.. but the first time out with the Remus stainless Okami and the Top Sellerie seat fitted.
Top Sellerie seat is ACE
Remus no pops and bangs, and not much noisier than standard.... so good all round.

Nice one Bryn, and good pics too I particularly like the one next to the old machine.

And now I know where the expression Ttopsy Turvey" comes from

Yesterday was a truly stunning day here in the Lakes, not a cloud in the sky and quite still, but today is the complete opposite...dull....grey....and RAINING

Dave I was going to go to the Ponderosa today and see if you were available but I thought that you had cleaned the GTR to put it away for the wintertime so headed out to the east coast instead.

I wish you Norvun Munkees would stop posting pictures of your local area, it makes me envious. (Nice pictures).

That pic of a rusting old tractor reminds me of a joke I heard years ago.

99% of all the Harley Davidsons made are still on the road today.
The other 1% managed to make it home.
