Cant believe Ive clocked up nearly 4K miles since July just commuting to work and back but now due a 3750 mile service. Surprised at the pricing variation Ive encountered though.
Dealer 1 (Exeter based) 3750 mile - menu service cost £175.00
Dealer 2 (Bournemouth based) 3750 mile service cost £125.00
Dealer 1 was asked about removal method of the mid fairing at the time of the rear brake pedal recall and I was told "I dont know - book it in".
Dealer 2 has a sound reputation by all accounts on here for good customer service and knowledge.
It doesnt take much to work out who I'll be using in spite of it being a days holiday and big diversion on the way home this Friday.
Shame the winter weather starts on Friday eh !!!!!
brake recall mod does not need a fairing removal
ask them to change the final drive oil too
I just payed £210 labour for 5 hours.
Which was for
Oil
Oil filter
Air filter
Spark plugs
Brake pads
Caliper service
Brake oil replacement
Clutch fluid replacement
Rear dif oil replacement
And a new pair of tyres fitted.
The spark plugs were a bitch to fit.
I'm assuming you supplied the tyres, otherwise that's the deal of a lifetime :mfr_lol:
Looks like a pretty good deal anyway

I assume that price is plus parts, not all-in?

Bournemouth Kawasaki are awesome.. My baby has always been serviced by them.. They even supplied the bike new when SirToU (Niel) bought her..
IMO they have always given first class customer service and the guys are great to get on with.
My bike is almost at 8000 miles and being serviced Saturday morning by my mate who owns a garage and does heaps of bikes for every week, and i get to assist as well so i know whats being done, he has all the proper kit and his partner is Kawasaki trained (well he was until four years ago) so between the three of us we might get it sorted.
All original Kawasaki materials not after market, everything and i mean everything will be checked and if needed changed apart from Spark Plugs, and i get a stamp in the book, the cost, nothing at all, i look after there computer systems they look after me.
Just how i like it.

I bought everything off ebay cost 130 and no someone in the tyre trade and paid 134 for a pair of PR3's. Just shows you how much mark up there is.
Bournemouth Kawasaki all the way...
3 GTR's (including Debs), 2 ZX10's, 1 Z750R and an ER6F..... 90000miles on GTR's, 10k on ZXR's and nothing was ever a problem...

Bike serviced last Friday at Bournemouth. Excellent service. I arrived early and they got onto it straight away. Pretty good value at £143.00 for an intermediate including the final drive oil. I'm very cautious after paying for work not done at other dealers and now i'm uber cynical but i'd trust these guys with the 20k "big one".
Guys know their stuff. The F1 warning by the way - I filled up with RON98 fuel and no problem. "K" reckon no problem anyhow. The fault light has to remain on for 3 seconds before system records a fault. Mine literally "flashes" so I'm not worried.
10/10 for these guys. I'll be using them in future despite it being a big trip and a day off.
That's a good result TT... I've said before that an 'occasional' fill up with high octane fuel will resolve the F1 issue, it seems to have worked on mine
I have a history of referring to my vehicles as "it" - my GTR is definitely a she though!
After reading this thread I thought I didn't want to worry about this F1 error so filled her up with 98 RON, just as a treat.
Obviously she noticed it was also that the 95 RON pump was out as next run out I get the F1 error, just flashing her eyelashes at me as a warning whilst she sips at the posh booze.... Women eh!
As OC says it may do just to fill upwith '98 now and again. I ve run the tank dry twice on 95 and not had the F1 error. Remember the system needs 3 seconds before the fault is registered.
