Title: Airhawk seat cushion
Post by: Gonome on October 08, 2012, 03:09:34 PM
Anyone tried an Airhawk seat cushion? I was talking to someone at the RTTW who uses one and he was really raving about it saying it was much more comfortable than a gel seat. At £79 from Bikebitz it seems a much more cost effective solution.

I think they look shite, but everyone who has used them raves over them.

I won't try one in case I like them and spoil the aesthetics!

yep, ive got one and cant tell you how good it is, it increases my ride time from about 2 hours to 10 hours, serious. the knack is only to have a small amount of air in it. yes they do look a bit goofy but it only comes out for the serious rides like calais to praque. When your arse feels like is been abused by king kong and his brothers , who gives a shit about putting on a goofy pillow, i only clip it on when im riding anyway .

:agree: although I dont use one myself as I prefer the Gel seat, but Gill uses it on the pillion and it makes the world of difference on long journeys, she says its fantastic

As Viper says the trick is not to overinflate it otherwise its uncomfortable apparantly

Yes I believe  they are fantastic, but £147 sqid is a bit strong for a whoopy cushion I think.

there are two airhawk cushions, a cheap on and a more expensive, the more expensive is a material than can be repaired( neoprene ), ive had the cheap one for 5 years no probs( poly)
