hi mate, there one on mine!!!!
goes like poop off a shovel.
it was on there when i bought it,its got a remax end can,,,had been fitted with a dyno run (about 8 i think) to get it perfect!!,
the guy i bought it off was a original petrol head,,,was a bmw technician,,,,,he said the gtrs have a flat spot at blarr, blarr, blarrr, rpm give more torque at lower revs,,,and this n that n this,,,,,by now i was losing the will to live!!!
so i said just give me the keys mate,,,15 mins later it was MINE!
does 58/59 per gal at a steady 80ish,
only tried a 10 plate, standard from a dealer,an only rode in gently,,so cant really comment on this other than what i have experianced,,
im sure some of the regulars on here will able to put you right though!

I've never had any flat spots on any of my GTRs

All have been fitted with aftermarket pipes Akrapovic on the first two and two brothers on the current bike

I don't think I need any more power as I'm not good enough to get 100% outa what it already has

There are 2 tune-up methods for the GTR.
1- Remove the secondary butterflies, fit an aftermarket exhaust and a Power Commander (3 or 5).
2- Send your ECU to Guhl Motors in the USA and they will re-flash it for you and at the same time remove the 155Mph limiter from the 2010- bikes.

Both methods will result in a few BHP gain at the top end, but most importantly will give you some 20+ Lbft at very low RPM which makes the bike much smoother to ride.
Yes, you will take a small hit in Mpg but from what they say on the US forums it's not much.

Have I done these,... no. I wanted to wait until my warranty expired and then I had no money.
Once I have that kind of disposable income then I will probably go down the Guhl route.

These 2 methods don't really give you much more peak power. Maybe a few more HP.
What it does give is more torque at lower RPM which makes it ride smoother and and accelerate harder.
I could care less about speed but I am a big acceleration junkie.  :punk:

I love the colour of your ZX14 Keith ! The ones here in South Africa is a different green ( very similar to yours ) and with a very SILLY attempt of a flame job on the bottom fairing. ( Why on earth they thought that this would look good is beyond me ).
I took one for a test ride last week and I tell you, compared to my old ZX1400, this one is the business !!!! I was tempted to trade the GTR for this one but then decided against it when I thought of the comfort etc etc.
But, a stonking bike it is though !!!!

hi 2kwasks sent you a pm this was a spur of the moment thing ,hardly got the chance to use it .same as happened with my gtr,but i bought it on impulse when i seen it i wanted it, fantastic bike, but it was just going to lie in the garage with winter coning, really sorry i never mailed you but i thought you had went off the idea of another zzr, supposed to go to a buyer from brighton to morrow,if it falls through i will mail you.

I opted for Boomer solution 1.
Not only you get more power and torque at 1500 to 2000 rpm, but also a much greater gas mileage. Couple the PC5 with an auto -tune like I did, and get a constant AFR. Well worth it.

Since none of you guys don't know what u're talking about - then I dont need to comment on that one!

On the other hand, Suzuki has build the best motor and fitted "that one" on the Hayabusa! Driven/own both ZZR14 and Hayabusa.... And that's about it!  :mfr_lol:
