yes lonewolf, you have a great memory, we were planning to get them at the show at show prices, but we saw these on ebay at an unbelievable price and it was " make an offer " which I did and he accepted, got the first one delivered and it is fine so then offerred him the same again for the second, he has actually sent the second one out before ive paid for it, unreal.

Re the chiller, its a champagne cooler, most of the bottles are in those little jackets . we like to collect the jackets but also like to drink the contents

ive been called posh and an arsehole all in the same hour, now theres juxtaposition !

Great looking helmets viper, wish I had the funds to stretch to new C3s
I may be interested in your old helmets though, how much were you thinking of asking for them?

I have a C3, I much prefer the flip front lids as I wear glasses and I find it too faffy without a flip up. I need a new visor and pinlock for it, but my God aren't they expensive.

Viper out of interest, on the C3, do you happen to know how to remove the tinted slide down visor, mine could do with a clean but I cant fathom out how to remove it.

hang on, i will check my nice brand new C3 owners manual

1  open chin section
2  pivot sun visor down
3  bend the middle snap connection with locating pegs gently outwards until the sun visor is released, repeat for other side

looks like im in the club now,
got into schuberths after a german trip several years ago when i struggled to find a german rider not wearing one, very few retailers did them then and i bought 2 from the bike show and had to sell organs to pay for them. now they are about much more so there is a fair bit of competition in the market, these new ones cost a lot less than my original S1.
After seeing a program on discovery " how its made " where they filmed at Schuberth factory i was hooked. There are plenty of good helmets on the market, a bit like tyres and oil , everyones has a strong opinion, the schuberths are the quietest around in terms of DB's , so i dont need to wear ear plugs.

- lovely helmets.

- are they that much better than helmets from arai/shoei , etc ?

.

I swore by Shoei helmets for years and they served me well, but then I found that Arai were better for me, this was in the days where full face helmets were what I wanted, and I went through a few different Arai's a couple of which I still have.

Then I decided that open face helmets were cool (no pun intended) and bought my self a Shoei Multitech which I have to say was a brilliant helmet, but after 4 years of use and abuse I decided that I needed a change.

Sooooo, I bought myself a Schuberth C3 a year or so back and have to say that after getting used to the initial quirks associated with a 'new' helmet I love it, its comfy, well made, light(ish) quiet (ish) and has all the features that I want.

My mate has just bought a pair of the new Shoei Neotec for himself and his wifey, which is very nice, if a tad pricey.

if im honest , i dont know , i rave on about schuberths but ive never really tried the other good brands, in terms of stats on weight and quietness they trump,  i like the fit of them and being a big f1 fan , im impressed that nearly all the drivers wear schuberths

+1 Also wear glasses and find C3 extremely comfortable. Bought mine chat a knock down price at the show last year. Well pleased
