We went to see them last night and they were very entertaining, some cooking plenty piss taking some slapstick humour etc etc, all in all an entertaining night out
On the way home at about 10.15pm, I was following a police Transit van the roads were dead quiet, but without warning he pulled up in the middle of the road, immediately in front of a filter junction, switched on his flashing lights and approached my car.
He reminded me that it was a 30mph road that we were driving on, I said yes I know that's why I was doing 30 mph behind you, the young policeman said that he thought we were catching him up quickly, I was gobsmacked as I'd been at least 50 yards behind him since we had been following him, and had maintained that distance for about a quarter of a mile  I told him I wasn't speeding nor was I catching him up
He said "OK then, well if I've got it wrong, I'm sorry"...got back in his van after wishing me goodnight and drove off
WTF was all that about
Not a very subtle way of stopping someone for a 'routine' check to see if they were 'in drink' :mfr_lol:
h, those whacky youngsters. Now in my day.............
