Title: rear suspension
Post by: half man half pie on September 30, 2012, 10:58:33 AM
I've looked at the older postings on the forum about suspension settings and the problem of suspension seizing which seems a fairly common fault and expensive to fix if it goes wrong

I've started to wind my suspension out when on the centre stand and am looking at ways to keep it lubricated thats are easy to do.

I've downloaded the service manual that is on the forum but thats for the 2008 model and not the 2010 model, but I presume they arent a world apart in terms of kit

I have also looked at the suspension setting pdf on the forum

My suspension only adjusts to 26 clicks (thats if I'm paying full attention) from either fully out or fully in and I noted that one user used 30 clicks !
Any clues from the learned ones ???

Just back from the garage cleaning my bike again, and as aslways I spray ACF50 up the adjuster and turn it, all ok since I had it changed under warranty some four months ago.

Black, clean and shiny, what could be better.

Mr Pie Man, mines the same model as yours, (2010) onwards and its in the same lovely colour. I have 28 clicks on mine but I have on occasion counted less when I haven't felt or heard them or been paying attention!

They'll be there somewhere so don't worry, some are only just noticeable.
