I've had a Beowulf black oval exhaust with carbon end cap sat in a box brand new since buying the new GTR back in July. Never fitted it as I aint had time so finally I decide to do it so go to the garage, get the Spud launcher off and open the Beowulf box up......Can, Link pipe, 2 straps.......er What the F*cK???? No Main stainless mounting Bracket in the box. Well fine, we all make mistakes but what a Ball ache.
I bought one for the GSX1400 I had and it had the bracket for the bikes main stand welded on the wrong side of the link pipe. 2 weeks ago at the BMF, my mate bought one for his XJR1300 and he had the same problem. but he had already taken the standard cans off and chewed the gaskets, (He was not too pleased)
Standards are slipping me thinks. Anyone else had any issues with their silly mistakes??
As you can tell, I'm a bit miffed and will calm down in a mo but bloody hell, I was going out on it tomorrow so now have to get the spud gun mounted again.
Your "mate" bought it at the BMF - no doubt cheaper and 'bought as seen' and it had a defect? Mmmmmm.
Tried mounting it the opposite way? :mfr_lol:
If there's a problem tell them, sort it and let them know rather than slag them off ...

:agree: ...I've bought items from Beowulf for years and never had a single issue with them, customer service and products both being outstanding
Anyone can make a mistake, contact them I'm sure they will sort it out for you
I contacted them by email last night and let them know.
I was not 'SLAGGING' them off!!!!!! Just saying what issues I have had and asking if anyone else had any issues.
I Was a bit put out by it last night obviously as you can imagine, especially after the last issue on the other bike but thats all.
I have had loads of stuff from them over the years but had issues 3 times in the last 18 months thats all.
PS we tried all ways with the mates link pipes and the guy from the Beowulf stand had a go and said they were wrong too.
Cheers

Don't you go disrespecting wolves! :nono:
Well I finally got the missing bracket from Beowulf
Only problem is the link pipe has been made wrong so it does not fit.
So will have to wait 2 weeks until their technical guy gets back from hols to sort it out. so i'll just leave the exhaust off and wait rather than keep putting it back on and taking it off again.
Will have to get the XJR out tomorrow instead.
Bit peeved but the lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice and very helpful so lets hope we are on the road soon.
Daz
Have you actually been over to Beowulf or are you just dealing with them on the phone?
I bought a second hand Beowulf, and the centre stand stop is about two inches out. I had to add a piece on as the stand was hitting the swing arm
I took my original silver rad guard in to Beowulf because I wasn't happy with its fitting. Not only did they listen to what I was saying and take it on board but they even gave me a new one at a significantly reduced rate. They do like feedback and will act on it as their reputation and livelihood depends on it.
Well, I just ordered an oval coloured Titanium can with carbon end piece today because they offer a 15% discount until tomorrow and I hope there will be no problems fitting it.
At £240 I just couldn't resist.
And here it is the new Beowulf Titanium can - took less than half an hour to put on an fitted perfectly.

BTW those are R&G Adventure bars and a Top Sellerie seat.
hey mecki, sweet looking seat
Was thinking the same myself....I like the can too
I still prefer the original can. But the seat looks very nice indeed.
Gerd, the seat looks lovely is it just a cover, or has the whole seat been re worked? Sorry but I am not a fan of the after market exhausts, still reckon that the sound coming from the rocket launcher when you are working the bike through the gears is lovely, but hey everyone to there own.
The seat is a total rework with base and all not just a cover. Just took it out of the box and put it on. And it fits actually better than the original.
You can design your own seat on their website and they will give you a refund if you send them your old seat back. They also have some ready made seats like this one on offer most of the time.
There is a better picture in the after market seat thread too.
As far as the sound of the Beowulf goes she doesn't purr any more - she growls now. But it is not too loud.
I too like the turbine sound of the rocket launcher but it is just too big for my taste especially without the panniers.
Just got back off holidays and spoke to Beowulf, they say the spec for the link pipe has changed for the newer models so I may have been given the old shape. SOOOOO lets hope the new one fits better when it arrives.
(I thought they were the same but we'll see)
Tried the other one all ways round and not anywhere near.
I had the exact same can on my 2009 bike and it took no time to fit and looked the dogs, hence buying another one.
can't fault the service over the phone, just wish they would check the parts better and check the contents of the box. lol

On their website you can only order cans for a 1400 GTR from 07 onwards no destinction between pre-10 and the later model.
I was a bit confused at first since it says 1400 GTR < 07, which I would read as before 07 and I never heard of that one.
So how would they have known that I have a 11 and not a 08 or 09 if the link pipes are that much different?
AFAIK Kawasaki only changed the end can in 2010 anyway - the new one being slightly shorter than the previous model.
I guess the Beowulf silencers are the same for most bikes and just the link pipes and the mounting brackets are different.
So either they sent you the wrong link pipe or they totally screwed up during manufacture.
I wouldn't be surprised if the one you got turns out to be for a ZZR.
When I bought my first GTR in 2008 I fitted an Akrapovic end can which necessitated cutting the link pipe that was supplied, as it was too long, I then fitted this same link pipe and end can to my 2010 bike without any problems
Point is that 2008 & 2010 bikes were the same.
I reckon as Mecki says you've simply received a pipe which was wrongly sent for some reason or another, and its not a common cock up at Beowulf
