Title: WORLD TWENTY20
Post by: Deon on September 28, 2012, 07:41:15 AM
So, all the cricket fans out there, who do think will win the World Twenty20 trophy ?
I watched England stutter against the West Indies last night. Today we will see if SA can beat Pakistan and Australia vs India should be interesting to watch as well.
What are your thoughts or are most GTR owners football fans instead of cricket fans ? ( which is OK as long as you support Man United !! ).

I can't think of anything more boring than cricket, although football and golf come a very close second.

I just wish we had more crown green bowling on the tv.

Anything is better than football.................... sorry but thats the way I feel, and used to watch and listen to the cricket on the good old BBC, but I have lost touch with it now. So good idea Deon ..............Cricket it is!

I feel exactly the same.

Cricket, football, golf, rugby, tennis - infact everything that doesn't include engines and wheels is boring as hell.

Wasps up the arse or pencils in the eyes would be a pleasurable experience compared with said 'sports'

Football...PAH....don't get me going, overpaid ~ over-rated ~ over here ~ over - opinionated bunch of premadonnas.

They should take a leaf out of the olympian and Para-lympians ...thats what I call dedication, many years of daily training. and they don't get paid squillions every week just to call each other names, roll around on the floor and can't even shake hands with each other or sing or pretend to sing the national anthem, plus they can't even get a ball in the net from 12 yards out..........USELESS TOSSERS.

BTW when does the netball season start, because I don't understand cricket, where you're either in or out, but if your in the team thats out, you have to get the player from the in team out ---------out or summat like that...

All of which still makes cricket more interesting than footy   :mfr_lol:

Not a hope mate... unfortunatly....   :hammer: Yamaha will only let the satilite teams have a few podiums a year.... any more than that then they the new bits will be a tad hard to find!!

Deon, ignore these lot. All they know is how to eat donuts and increase their waist size!

Cricket is a fantastic game and although I no longer play, I love going to the local club and watching a game.

As for the world cup, I reckon its too tight to call this time around. Too many good teams.

Cricket?  Hmmm. From what I can gather, two groups of people get together, one of which comes out with sun screen smeared on their faces, stand around outside in a field for a bit waving their fingers in the air whilst the other group drinks tea inside.  After an undefined period of time (could be days...) they swap, and some numbers are posted on a large board that don't even seem to be in decimal and a casual onlooker wouldn't have a clue what is going on.

I can hear a load of high revving engines screaming around the Monza circuit from here, and it doesn't take a professor in maths and stats to work out what's going on there.  Plus I bet when they go in, it's not tea that they're drinking...

I know where I'd rather be...

 :whistling: :biker3:

On a side note, a Kiwi friend of mine from France assures me that an actual cricket club has started up somewhere in the north of France.  I wonder what rules they use??   :mfr_lol:

Yep, yesterday was very interesting what with SA ( AGAIN losing against Pakistan !!!! ) and India going down badly against Australia. So, the next couple of games are going to be interesting. Anyway, I will leave it here now as not too cause more distress amongst my GTR brethen who do not like cricket BUT I will say this, Rossi world champ again next year !!!!!

We played "French Cricket" as kids and held the bat in front of our legs (feet close together) facing the bowler who gently bowled underarm, you had to avoid the ball hitting your legs but weren't allowed to move your feet from the original position.

eeee, when I were a lad, the fun we had  :mfr_lol:
