Came across this.... the beginning...
"On the 17th of August 1896 the worlds first ever recorded
fatal road traffic collision occurred in London. Bridget Driscoll was run over by a vehicle travelling at its top speed of 4mph.
The Coroner Percy Morrison said he hoped "such a thing would never happen again".

well the coroner got his wish, cos I reckon every fatal accident after that happened at more than 4mph :whistling:
it could never happen again as Bridget could not be killed twice
She looks like she'd had a battering before the accident :whistling:
