Last summer we did a 2 day dash in the car to the Austrian Tyrol and hired a BMW from the hotel for a few days. Weather was awful but once out of the clouds the views were un-beatable.
We also had an Audi A5 cabriolet quatro for a day to go over Stelvio, but got a puncture and it has a sealant kit and no spare wheel.

looks nice, 2 days is that all! a week would have been better!! ;)
travelled the 900 and odd miles to the hotel in 2 days, then had 7 nights out there.
Plan was for 4 days on BM's but silly amounts of rain meant we only use a bike for 2 days.

only joking about the 2 days ;) I hope to plan a other trip as soon as possible, this time planning on going right down to the south of france.
Its very easy to see why bikers are attracted to the Alps. Stunning scenery and roads to match.
