see you there on 6th October
I'll be there.
I plan to be there
Pooh sticks, I had forgotten about that and have booked to go to France & Belgium that weekend.
Ypres is on the list Saturday morning tho.
Alan
Yup, this year I'm going to make a point of going....
+1. Appreciate we are all coming from different directions but shall we meet up and at least arrive together?
Good idea to meet up, best bet I suggest would be inside the grounds. There were so many bikes last year that we parked in the main filed about 100 yards up the road. Perhaps we shold wear something recognisable. Dont forget your hankies, last year I was moved to tears by the service and the whole thing.
Will defo be there again this year & it would be great if we could meet up. Agree with Chris that it would be best to meet inside (how to make contact ? perhaps we could all wear one pink armband :mfr_lol:)
:innocent:

Yeah that would go down really well in that group!
Anyone from the Birmingham/South Midlands area that are going to the RTTW ? I will be jouning the group from Strensham Services at Hopwwod Services Jnc 2 M42, This group will be passing Hopwood at 10:00. Look forward to meeting anyone that can make it.
I've booked a day off work so I'm sorted. If we all wore our POLITE high viz tops we'd be easily recognisable. :mfr_lol:
We will be coming from M6 Knutsford services. Weather looks promising, last year it was during a late heat wave.

Bugger, still abroad when this happens .... Fingers crossed the weather's good for you all
Last year we were all directed to a field opposite the memorial for parking. Don't forget your sidestand puck. My bike is metalic grey. The wife will wear a pink armband on her right arm, so I don't have to wear one. :banana:As long as I don't lose her that should do. Now there's an idea!
I'm coming in the ride up the M40. Black bike, definitely not wearing a pink armband, but I am big, ugly and grey so should be easy to spot among the other thousands of big, ugly and grey folk gathered :mfr_lol:
I'll be joining the back of the M5 Strensham group at Hopwood Services about 10:00. Silver 57 plate flying a White Ensign & Poppy flag (unless they blow off) :embarrassed: Be good to meet up though with the thousands there will not be easy.
Thought I would post a few pics from the RTTW yesterday. I am sure if others were there then they can add something a bit better to capture the array of feelings associated with attending this event. Anyway here goes.
Some the the thousands of bikes that attended

Hope those of you who attended had a safe ride and were just as moved by the proceedings as I was. For the rest of you get Saturday the 5th October in your diaries now for RTTW 2013.
Hi Gonome, no point in posting my pics they are almost identical to yours. I saw 3 GTRs at RTTW yesterday, 2 blue and one black, apart from my own grey/silver. A great day and very moving. Next year we must all meet somewhere. The wife made a pink armband but left it in the panniers. Muppet.
Excellent pictures and great turn out
Sorry I couldn't be there
Very moving day & great attendance, 4th one I have been to & would not miss it for anything. Would be good if we could meet up before the event next year somewhere close to the venue. Keep October 5th 2013 free if you fancy it. Like you Chris my photo's are much the same but not as good.
