Title: A visit to Chop Gate
Post by: Lonewolf on September 07, 2012, 08:28:18 PM
I managed to get out this morning on a wee ride to a destination called Lord Stones Country Park & Cafe. http://www.lordstones.co.uk/ (http://www.lordstones.co.uk/) I knew the cafe would be closed as it had said it would be on the web site. Shame really as I hadn't been here since 2010 and it's a lovely location.

Clear views for miles and miles.

The cafe itself which is cut out of the hillside and quite unique. I've no idea whats going on, is it closed, is it just under refurbishment, hopefully the latter.

Deon I think it was on a different thread mentioned he fancied trying out his KTRC, well this would be a good starting point if you hit it too fast. What a stupid place to drop a load of sand!!

I headed back to a small 'village' if you can call it that which I rode through on the way in. Very quaint properties and a pub.  :whistling:

As is only to be expected I had a spot of lunch while I sat outside in temperature of 20 degrees.

Finally a jaunt down the A1M or something just to show 100milesaway how useful they can be :mfr_lol:

Now the bike needs another wash after killing lots of flies..... :hammer:

LW, so it's not true that you never overtake cars given the last picture; and a Porsche to boot!
