Called in to fill up yesterday, usually turn the the bike to off, but had a blonde moment and turned to FSS, can't tell you why. anyway filled up, paid up, went back to the bike and spent 5 minutes trying to get the bike to start. All the key would do was turn round and round in the ignition, eventually it clicked and started.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them??, was this because i turned to FSS by mistake???, fob battery low ???, bike is now ok back to normality.
Anyone had this happen to them ??
Can't ever recall putting it to FSS.
To be honest when I first got the bike I didn't realise it was a stove key :help:
Which key do you use to unkock the tank and panniers then

Any decent high street key cutting facility will do you one. They even have Kawasaki template keys. Usual price about a fiver, worth its weight in gold.

If they have the correct blank , and you have your master key, then there is no reason on earth why they shouldn't be able to cut a copy for you

If they have the correct blank
There in lies the problem.

Yup, that would tend to slow things down a bit
Do timpsons have the blanks on the shelf then ??? OC
ZM When we were holidaying in a wet Cornwall last June we decided to get a couple of spares and popped into Timpsons on the High Street, they cut us a couple immediately,.....they had the correct blank in stock and so were able to do so, I don't know if all Timpsons stores carry the same blanks,
If you call into a Timpsons store with your spare key from your spare fob, they will be able to match it with available blanks.
I think it cost about £7, at the time they had a two for one offer.
Will give it a go thanks
Perhaps I am a SuperBeing :mfr_lol: but I have never had any problems with using KiPass or using the Stove key.
I read the Owners Manual and used it the way they recommend.
I have a spare key on my keyring but I use that for the panniers and seat.
I have always fueled up using the Stove key and have never lubricated the lock and have never had a problem in 5 years/50k miles.
That said, I am not Blonde, grey but not blonde!
