But you have a black one, the fastest when tyres are at the right pressure.

Don't forget if you take the tyre off not to damage the TPS which is attached to the valve.

Welcome Peter. Bit of bad luck regarding your tyre. Is it a repair or new one? You'll see most owners rave about the PR3s if you're replacing. Whereabouts are you based? Are you great roads but pants weather (northern) or vice versa (south). Maybe you're Wales, lot of both?

Peter, welcome along to the forum. Shame about the puncture. As has been mentioned, watch out for the tyre pressure sensor if you change the tyre. Also be mindful that you shouldn't really be repairing the tyre due to its speed rating unless you have the Michelin PR3's on. I think thats the only tyre that can be repaired as a Z rated tyre.

Whereabouts are you based, plenty of Northern members about if your'e fortunate enough to live up North.

Shhh. Don't want the southerners to know how great it is up here.

Welcome to the forum Peter

Hi everybody

Thank you for the greetings. Tyres are Michelin and plug would not hold so new one being fitted by dealer. Unfortunately tyre presure sensor has broken during this job so they are replacing it free of charge. (Lucky escape eh!). I am in Hitchin in Hertfordshire. There are some great roads round here.  The bike was bought from Norton Way Honda in Letchworth so is going to take longer to get part. Because of this they have lent me a Honda crosstourer to ride round on. It is the one with a auto box.

Take care

Peter

I had some issues with vibration on the bike on long runs, I tend to suffer fron 'Arm Pump aka Carprel Tunnel' and found the GTR agravated it somewhat.

Also I have an aprilia Tuono and tended to ride the GTR in the same manner.... ex racer see... going slowly is not in the DNA...  so tbh I may as well tour on the Tuono, so I swaped the GTR for a car at Norton way.

Good bike though.... you should have heard it when I had the Bos can on it.... baffles out... oooh yeah  :gunsmilie:

and Old Coney... raaaaassssp  :tt2:
