I received an email yesterday from a good friend ,secretary of the village sports club, headed "Holiday Mishap -Help Needed"
The story was that my friend had been mugged of her wallet , passport , cards , flight tickets etc. Stuck in Spain so could I (we) send her 1,300 Euros to check out of the hotel , buy flights home and stuff.
One quick phone call to another club member and it turns out that the entire membership received the same message.
Love to have 5 minutes in my shed with the perpetrator.
That one has been going around for ages, somem people do not keep there computers up to date security, anti-virus and Malware wise, you have to protect yourself.
As someone in the business i am telling people constantly.
