Can you have a look at this please.

http://www.tapatalk.com/index.php

Its a smart phone app for all forums to make it easier to look at sites.

But it won't allow this one, I think this site needs to be registered to tapatalk.

Have a look please

£1.99 - not paying for it!

Asif,

I have recently converted (after many years of point blank refusing) to an iPhone.

I use Tapatalk on the iPhone for a number of forums. Works well, very convenient when out and about, worth the whopping £1.99 - even if Chris thinks his 1600 should already have it integrated into the dash  :mfr_lol:

If you are able to consider installing the server side plug in stuff, it would be a great help for me at least.

Martin.

OK, I shall take a look at this. I was actually thinking of installing a mobile theme. Works the same way as tapatalk, except you don't pay for it. There's a one of fee for the forum, but its free to users.

You can see it at http://smf-media.com/

Thanks Asif,

That mobile theme does look good, but speaking completely selfishly here, Tapatalk would be even better as it allows users to browse and post on all of their forums from a single place.

I have no idea how hard each option is to implement though.

Martin.

What did you register it in Tapatalk as Asif? The only forum I can find of a similar name is 1400 GTR-Forum but that's in German.

Thanks a lot Asif.

Like Kevin, I cannot find it - searched on GTR, 1400 and GTR1400.co.uk.

Perhaps it takes a while to register on their servers.

Martin.

When you've done that will you rebuild a couple of our PCs please as they're not behaving well and I really can't be bothered to do it myself as it takes forever.

Deb,

Is that on tapatalk?  I am completely prepared to belive that I'm a technological desert here (but would prefer that I haven't bogged it up as no idea where I could have gone wrong)

Well my Shytepad is going to take a short flight off my 5th floor balcony one of these days... I'm not even going to attempt this on it.  Will try it on my far superior Galaxy S2 when I can work up the courage (read finish this bottle of Nero d'Avola)

I'm afraid I'm still getting 'Cannot connect to the forum. This forum is either restricting access from Tapatalk or the installed Tapatalk plugin is not working. Please contact your forum administrator'. This is from an iPhone.

The admin of the FJOC forum had the same issue and was never able to resolve it unfortunately. Again, it seemed to be iPhone users who were having issues.

Edit: I assume you've Googled that error message Asif as others reported it previously. One response from the Tapatalk team pointed to a PHP 4 installation that is no longer supported, it needs to be PHP5; I'm not sure if that applies. It looks like they are quite responsive to error reports and are ready and willing to help resolve them.

Thanks for the feedback Kevin.

One of the issues is that I built the server way back in 2006. I've upgraded all the software (PHP, MySQL, etc) but fear its not hanging together properly.

I'll have another go at fixing this issue. I have it in plan to rebuild the entire server bottom up, but that won't be till sometime next year.

I don't use tapatalk or other simular forum tools so can't help

BUT I see that the location map is back on line...sorry if that's already been mentioned, but Asif, I'm sure I speak on behalf of others when I say a BIG thank you for all your hard work

Hi Asif,

I got the same message as Kevin

Interestingly though, when I went onto this site normally I did get pushed to the itunes link to instal the HD version of Tapatalk - no idea if that's significant and if anyone has the HD version and can confirm if it works.
