What the hell, why not it's only a 380 mile round trip! :mfr_lol:
From our recent highly successful meet at the Lower Lode Inn at the end of June I promised the owner that I would provide her with a photo of all the GTR's parked outside her establishment, as she said she would appreciate a copy.
So rather than post it, I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and deliver it in person. That way I get a decent ride in before I go back to work on Friday and I get to experience the beautiful setting of the Inn once again. As a Brucie bonus the weather forecast is scheduled to be :taz: hot, 82 degrees in fact.
So if anyones at a loose end and fancies meeting up I'll be there from about 11am. :biker3:
I would if I could but, that bloody work thing again. However, next week after I've won euro millions I can retire and .........

If I had 24 hours extra notice I could have got off work, as it is I am golfing Friday and could have easily taken Thursday off if I had known.
Have a good trip.
Alan
Would have loved to but afraid I have other arrangements for tomorrow, not enough notice I'm afraid. Hope you have a good, safe ride & enjoy your lunch.
Nice idea but no can do, as I have an appointment with someone this morning
BTW I wish you lot who are South of the still WET & CLOUDY Lakes would stop banging on about the lovely, hot, sunny, enjoyable biking weather :hammer: :mfr_lol:

Yesterday rode from the hot & sunny Midlands up to the damp & misty Ponerosa to cool down a bit. Hope the sun starts shining soon up north. :sweatdrop:
Lets hope you Northern Contingent members get some of this weather .... it is just SO hot down here ...29/30 today but a little cooler tomorrow .... Opening Ceremony.... so that would be nice.
Rode through the "Olympic Route" yesterday at work ... how VERY strange to ride through Central London, one way, with no junctions and no stops ... weird !
Steve ... hoep she liked the picture and lunch was as good as ever !
Folks, today didn't go as planned. I almost got there but then turned around after receiving some potentially bad news from a family member living overseas. My heart wasn't in enjoying myself and chilling out so I returned home. The photo is now in the post, with a little note to the landlady.
I'll make another trip in a couple of weeks and hopefully then I'll get there.
Steve,
Sorry to hear about the bad news. Let us know in advance when you intend to go and maybe more of us may be able to join you.
Will do.
+1
Alan
yeah, sorry to hear that Steve...you made the right decision
