Hi mark I'm still full of cold.. so don't think i'll be riding anywhere for a week or so  did you know, the guy who traded your gtr 1400. did so for a new gtr the "greeny coloured one" which I found a bit  the only difference between the 2010 and the 2012 model is the colour, I could understand the change if he had clock up some high mileage, but if I remember right, the gtr1400 you bought only had 7,000 miles on the clock. but suppose he did because he could, and there's sod all wrong with that

Hi Dave, I was intrigued myself. Apparently he took it in for service, saw the green one and decided he wanted that instead. I have been looking UK wide and this one landed on my doorstep. Price was reasonable, they gave what I expected in part-ex for my VN900, happy days.
I might pop along to Stoke on Sunday to see what's what. Get better soon mate. Cheers

Mark

Mark, Dave says he has a cold but its probably just a sniffle.  You know how some folk exaggerate! He'll probably be there.  :mfr_lol:

Mark, I would of thought after only just taking delivery of your bike, you would want to be riding it, not parking it in a field all day.  :whistling:

Yeah, suddenly Stoke seems a bit too nearby. After all they've forecast good weather. Still, never say never (said in a non-committal way)

Not far for me to go, so I may have a tootle over.

Staffs Police are doing Bikesafe Rides so I'll use the opportunity to get my riding (I'm still a biut nervous after my little whoopsie) checked prior to getting back upto speed for my Rospa re-test.

I was there and did a  couple of GTR's. What fab weather and what seemed like a big crowd. Pity the Guy Martin interview was inaudble.

I had my Bikesafe assessment and liked te briefing - "........just ride as you normally do but as far as speed goes just remember I'm  on a marked bike and we ahve to think about image..."

I did half the planned route and we stopped for a short de-brief but then the Police rider sugested we go back the way we came, as the planned route (nearly all dual carraigeway)  was a bit boring and the outward leg was more fun!

The good news is that he was complimentry about my ride with a few suggestions on postioning. Another 100 miles clocked up after getting the bike back. Next weekend its 4 days down south for the Olympic Cycling.
