.
- hi guys.
- am seriously considering adding CC to my 2012 GTR.
- looked around and for the GTR , the gold-plated model is apparently the McCruise system (from Australia).
- the cheap and cheerful option would be the use of some systems designed for cars and then jimmy'ing it into the bike with duct tape , zip ties and prayers.
- am not big on the prayers bit and am damn scared of the CC running off on me ... at wide open throttle ....
- so , would anyone here with experience with CC , please help.
thanks !!

Check murphskits.com in USA.
I fitted the Audiovox system which is the choice of US Concours onwners.
Fairly easy to fit if you follow the instructions on the site!
ive also got the audiovox cruise from murphs kits and published a how to tutorial on it. This device is totally safe and ive had it on various bikes over the years, it can be cut by appling either brake, and if the bikes revs rise sharply it will also cut, it wont take off on you,
You can get the cruise control from a dealer here in the UK.

They also have someone they use who can install it for a price. He comes to your home or work address to fit it. Last time I got a quote it was £150 for fitting..
Fugly looking unit though debs
This was the audiovox swith dual mounted on a bracket with the heated grip control I had

Looked quite OEM (in my opinion!)
I would love an electronic cruise control but dont have the pennies for one..
I will stick with my Throttlemeister
Worked well and great for big touring jobs!
Use them a lot on both the GTR and the GT
Only problem I had with the Throttlemeister (Pan) was up hill and down hill as it didn't adjust automatically.
Good kit though. That said the Audiovox was only £120 when I got it - the TM had cast me £80 a year or so before, so not a massive saving really.
the one from murphs kits is the most popular and the best priced, ive heard nothing but good about it. If you get the kit from " Murph" you get the vacuum canister and the bracket for the control switch. The cruise wont work correctly without the additional vacuum .

Viper, what's the red button for?
its the launch button for my sidewinder missiles .....
Its for the autocom power, we ride with the autocom on open mike all the time so we can have a normal coversation without having to activate vox all the time . when the yak yak level gets too high from the wingman i can cut the power and when we are on the motorway with high background noise.
I really wanted it to be an ejector seat  .

Wouldn't an ejector seat for the "wingman" have much the same effect as cutting the Autocom power
its a verbal ejector seat
