don't see why not..! I've never told her porkies before :whistling: but would need to find out if b.m.w have soughted the teething problems out. understand one of the problems was, water entering around the seat causing electrical problems.

I did 2K.  And they are very good.  I had the Comfort pack and GPS/Audio pack fitted as well as crash bars and top case, It's the SE model which comes with the Adaptives.

Chris, do BMW give discounts on new bike like some Kawasaki dealers do?

Not that I'm thinking of getting one, just for info purposes  :whistling:

They don't give much, but my daughter works for them and should I ever commit the cardinal sin and want one she can get me 18% discount. No trade in's just an outright purchase, for example when I looked at the 1200GS with everything on on it I think list was £11400 or just over and to me it was £9600ish.

Something like that, but the GTR took over my life.

They have special offers on sometimes, the GS currently has 'free' Acro exhaust, panniers and liners, tank bag etc. worth £1800.00

When I got mine, there were deals within the deal, I got more than the list for my GTR, there was 10% on any extras for example.

We are buying a Mini from the same dealers and we have got a £1800 loyalty discounts from dealer/BMW - seems that the deals/discounts are there but not upfront.

Occasionally there are also 'cashback' or manufacturer contribution offers, the boxer range had between £500 and £1200 dealer contribution a couple of months ago.

They do PCP bubble selling, buy for 3 years at low cost with a final payment (half the purchase price) or hand back at a guaranteed trade in against new or cash back if worth more than guaranteed price.

Must say the deals are very good and BMW Motorrad finance and insurance are very competitive.

Also found that servicing isn't extortionate either.  They charge by the minute, if your service take 2hrs 17min that's what you get charged.  Not rounded up to next hour or half hour or fixed pricing.

I was happy with the Kawasaki service I had from RobSpeed in Grimsby - top dealer, but the Motorrad experience (and the up coming Mini one) have not been unpleasant either (in the scheme of things - they are taking my monies afterall which I don't really care for!)

Agreed Chris, my experience with Jefferies wasn't bad once I'd got over the initial of feeling like a leper, by buying the K1300 GT   :mfr_lol:

I suspect that 'your' dealer is a little more customer orientated

The gray/black looked realy nice...but I think the GTR are better looking. The -10 in magnesium gray and the -11 in  green are my favorites. And with the price of the beemer...The GTR will still be my choice. But if money was no problem....that may have changed the game.
Never riden the beemer,i don't want to...because if it's so good as all say, my brain automaticly starts to find ways to find the money. Robbing a bank or selling my mother will be some of the options
Are pretty happy with my -08. The front brakediscs issues are the only downer.

Nice bike Winston, enjoy you ride

Had to buy me a new sun visor for my helmet, and ended up at a bmw dealer in the town me and my son went for a short holiday. Guess what...they had a K1600gt in red for trial...fully loaded with all the extras. Did not have my riding gear with me so I used that for a exuse for not to try it,but the seller he just pushed me to the driving gear section and said: just put on something that fits and ride the damned thing. And i thought why not...but just then it started to rain quite heavy.
So i canceled the test ride. Trying a new bike in heavy rain and on unfamiliar roads,no not my kind of fun.
But I got get a close look, and tried to sit on it and push all the fancy buttons. No wonder it's expensive with all the toys.
Wondering what mother kawa comes up with next time?
