Thatcham locks on the garage, thatcham locks on the bikes in the garage, CCTV, Alarm, the fence has 'squirrel repelant' on the top..aka carpet gripper... :innocent: oh and the Crossbow is zero'd in for the bottom of the garden...   :mfr_lol: and of course I have a van, a shovel and somewhere to dispose of the body.

I always use a disc lock when its parked up and if I'm somewhere iffy I'll take another lock and try to lock it to something.  :gunsmilie:

Overkill! All ya need is Klingon Disrupter and there is nothing to dispose of.
I have mine in a locked garage, chained to a ground anchor with the steering locked.
If they get past that lot, then that is what I have insurance for.

mine is also very well protected whilst at home in the Rev Shed....however its difficult to replicate that level of security when its parked elsewhere.

I just hope I never see or catch any scroat or scroat's doing that to either of my bikes. I would go ballistic, and most likely end up in the clink for severely beating them about the head with a very large, very hard metal bar. I was "seething" just watching that clip!

They didnt seem too competent. Normally thieves just chuck them in a van. Nevertheless as Boomer says I'd be pretty  :censored:  annoyed if that happened to me.

Ive just spent 40 mins watching the vid and reading the comments posted. I really feel for the guy. I know what it feels like from personal experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
My feelings at the the time were intense anger at the scum who robbed me and later real annoyance at the police who like this victim had solid evidence to go on. Sorry to say it but the same attitude was shown to me by the police who didn't want to know. I ride with a few MPC's socially and their sympathy was genuine but not a lot they could do.

I hope the boys in blue here don't mind me stating that if it happened to me again and I caught the scum red handed then I'd be in more trouble than the scroats themselves. I would seriously inflict pain on their miserable world.

A recent true tale - I saw a young scumbag shove groceries from a tesco metro into his jacket and calmly walk out the store. I told the "security" guard who told me couldn't do anything as it would mean leaving the store. I offered to collar him and bring him back and was then told to report it to the police myself.

The fact is this toe rag would think nothing of nicking your bike or personal effects or assisting his mates to do the same. I now regret not doing the right thing and nabbing him on behalf of his many future victims like you and me.

Rant over - I'm off to bed. Evening All

I once came across a scumbag trying to nick my Suzi GS550E.

I was heading out to a local MAG meeting in Chelmsford and as I rounded a tree near where the bike was parked I saw someone squatting next to the bike. I stepped into the tree (big conifer) and watched him for a few secs to make certain that he was fiddling with the bike. Then pulled out my mobile and phoned the Cops. At first all they wanted to do was give me a crime number until I told the ditzy idiot that the CRIME WAS IN PROGRESS. 3 mins later 2 cops walked quietly up behind him and before he knew they were there he was face down in a puddle and then handcuffed.  :police: :police:

Damage to the shell/cable lock I had through the back wheel was extensive and the scum had snapped the side panel.
Wasn't worth claiming for as a new lock was £40 and I welded and sprayed the side panel good as new.

The scum was underage (15) so didn't even spend the night in the Nick.
To be fair though, his parents did call in one night, gave me the £40 for the lock and apologised for their offspring.
I think they were hoping that I wouldn't have my "biker club" contacts "erase" their son.  :mfr_lol:

Normally I hate being associated with the 1%ers but on this one occasion it was appreciated.  :biker3:

I have bike trac fitted to my baby.. https://www.roadangelgroup.com/ProductDetails.aspx
Its a tracker and also has movement sensor.. I can also log on to net and track where I have been or track if the bike is stolen. I also get text messages if the battery gets disconnected or is low and if the bike is moved. [Road Angel even call me to make sure things are ok].. There are ball bearings in the unit that are activated once ignition is off.. Its an awesome piece of kit..

I live in a flat and dont have a garage to keep her in.. I have been thinking about getting a motorbike garage but they are around £1k

I Had one of these metal sheds: http://www.gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk/Metal-Sheds/BillyOh-Carrington-Galvanised-Metal-Shed?oid=17916&gclid=CJq66reVmrECFYzbfAodK0SPfw

The doors were crap, so I ended up reinforcing them. It took me less than a day to put it up. Just make sure the inventory matches what you have received. Hopefully the instructions will be straight forward.

You may require assistance putting the roof on as it may be assembled separately.

I will ask my neighbour for help...

Delivery is between 4 to 5 weeks as they make them to order.. Lets hope its not raining that day..

After watching the vid of that bike getting nicked its now made me worry, even though I have Disc Lock & Tracker fitted and the normal stock immobiliser...

Bournemouth

We have a hard stone parking area. I need to think how to make a base for it. The ground is not that level.. Was thinking of asking my neighbour to get some dry concrete mix and help me level it out  :mfr_lol:

A level base would be a very good idea Deb, otherwise you'll have allsorts of problems setting the garage up

Sadly Bournemouth, whilst its a lovely place, is tooooo far for me to nip down and lend a hand  :mfr_lol:

Pics when the job is do be would be good

The base doesn't have to be concrete. I had a wooden base put down.
