Ok its actually the 11.25k mile service but you know what I mean. Mine was at just over 12k.
I took the bike in to Colin Appleyards today at Keighley and while it was there they fitted the new preload shock adjuster which was being replaced under warranty saving me £596.00 which was nice.
They also took some photos of the flaking paint on my exhaust which they are going to submit as a warranty claim, fingers crossed on that one.
The service though which took them three hours to complete. No oil change, no final gear oil change, no air filter change, but they did clean it. They cleaned out my brake callipers which they said were crudded up. They put some grease on my gear selector spindle. They checked the brake and clutch fluids and according to the bill did'nt do too much else. £130.86, welcome to the world of Kawasaki!!
Now I understand why I used to do my own services. :2guns:

Too bloody right I am. I'll probably do it on Monday along with the final gear oil.
steve.. I'm  they never change your oil and filter at the 12,000 mile service. £130.86 should I've included the oil and filter at the very least! I always do my own minor servicing such as oil, filter, air filter, shaft oil, e.t.c and twice a year clean the calipers and copper grease the pad pins. I only got the dealer to change my oil and filter and do the 4,000 miles service because he already had the bike in his workshop, he charge me.. £80.00 to remove the rear wheel from the bike remove the tyre, fit a new tyre sensor, re-program the new sensor and refit the rear wheel and did a 4,000 mile service which included oil and filter e.t.c and a general check over with software upgrade. told him not to change the shaft oil because I done that my self less than a 1,000 miles ago. think I would be having a word with Mr kawasaki about this
hi lone wolf, had a recall job on mine last week,,(rear brake spring effort thingy!!!!),anyway mines a 08 model, bought last yr with less than 400 mls on it the guy had it serviced the week before i bought it off him, anyway 5800mls later was gonna change the oil,,,,so they did it for me,all the fluids changed,(clutch, brakes, and diff),£180.00!, they wernt 3 hrs neither,,,more like 1 1/2hrs!!!!
Yea, I might try a different Kwak dealer next time and see how they perform.
From what I've heard from my dealer you shouldn't have a problem with a claim for new exhaust.
I'm going to call them tomorrow and chase them up.
