Heh - those were the days! I used to go to loads of rallies like that. One of the muddiest was the Rock and Blues in about '97. I still don't know to this day how I got my ZZR up the hill in that mud....
They used to have some good bands on back then! They used to have the Stranglers and they even rolled out Joe Cocker a few times :punk:.. Did you have any bands at this one?
Great pics - thanks for sharin'!

:stupid: Yup i was there too... :gunsmilie: I was doing the mudslide down the hill and into the beer tent... :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: I was sooooo caked in mud ...the tent and sleeping bag got left there that year :punk:
Hi Rosbif , Yeh there were bands on in various tents ,alot of blues type stuff,to be honest i didnt watch any of them but in the main bands tent i caught 20mins of a Bad Manners tribute ( think it a tribute but i was so far back and they sounded so good i dont know for sure)
As for getting the bikes out i just parked mine up for entire wk end hence clean wheels on the pic of it as i saw several lads smack there bikes up comeing of in the mud and i in no rush to drop mine, on the Sunday the mud was so bad the marshalls took down fences to make a clear path and were pushing bikes out all day.next year i think i be on a :tank:
Mogster ....
I like your style :stupid:
I feel sorry for that pig, what a waste of a beautiful animal.

........taste good too.
It's only because the meat is served up on plastic trays covered in cling film nowadays!
would it not be a bigger waste if it had not been eaten and left to rot...... it fed many bikers .........eventually owing to rain lol

While we are all reminising and crying in our beer, I went to the 1970 Bath Blues and Progressive Music festival on a 1960 Royal Enfield Constellation that I bought for £125 with a Watsonian sidecar. Saw bands including Frank Zappa, Moody Blues, Byrds, Santana, Canned Heat, John Mayall, Steppenwolf, Jonny Winter, Pink Floyd, Faiport Convention, Colosseum and Led Zepplin.
Those were the days, now where did I leave my teeth?

Its is difficult Steve, especially for my old mince pies.
Just drag your cursor over it whilst holding down the left button....all will become clear
And Slane what you been on posting in that colour :mfr_lol:
I was there as well helping MAG to marshal the non fire field as well as helping in the Holy Joe's.
Got the tent up dry and my bile stayed put all weekend. Got the bike off site easily on Sunday.
It was a great weekend apart from the weather.

Hi Glen
Would have nipped in out of rain if i knew and said hi. Glad you got ure bike out easily , i cant say the same ,thought the precautions for bad weather were very very poor ,bit like the nabd was , but no doubt i be back next year to do it all again, who lnows we may even get some sun
You got any pics to share ?
Been there, have over 60 Rallies under my belt, from Magna Carta to Stormin' the Castle to small local bike rallies and one visit to the ElefantTreffen in Germany in January (-22Celcius!).
These days I will ALWAYS choose a hotel room over a tent.
That said, I will be camping this weekend in a friends field for some other friends 40th birthday bash.
That said, the way Ella snores after a few drinks I will probably bail and sleep in the car. :sleep1:
I agree George... hotel room everytime for me.. Premier Inn is good value and very comfy
Yep i will be there next year whatever the weather, helping MAG.
As previously posted, i will be at the Pudding and at the Stormin for Saturday only.
