The festival will be a truly awesome event,  and boasts a list of famous names from the biking world which honestly reads like a bikers "whose who".

Here is a link to the event detail. If you are able to attend I STRONGLY suggest that you make the effort, as it will be an event that you will not forget.

http://www.vmcc.net/1000bikes/

Coincidentally this year celebrates the 40th year since the introduction of the Kawasaki H2 which is the 750cc two stroke (widow maker) and this anniversary is being celebrated around the globe, quite literally, a group of Kawasaki Triples Club UK members have only this last weekend made the return trip to Spa Francorchamp in Belgium on their 40 year old Triples to participate in a gathering and to experience the opporyunity of a few laps of Spa.

I couldn't a££ord to go to Spa but I am going to be at Mallory Park this weekend with a substantial group of 'Triples Club' owners and their bikes and we will be celebrating by taking a few laps of the circuit as well as celebrating in the usual manner.

Personally I'm really looking forward to the event as it will be "Star Studded" as well as playing host to a mind blowing selection of rare bikes, of all types, from road and track.....if you get the chance why not come along give me a shout I'll be in or around the Kawasaki Triples Club area/section, it would be lovely to see you there.

You guessed it............ I'm taking my beautiful (cos it is) Kawasaki 750cc H2c, and I'm allready really very excited   .

We came across this on the Saturday at the Lower Lode Inn, even I quite like the look of this.

And then, right up Geoff's street we came across these. There was a rally on at the same time as our get together.

You cheeky young rascal Mr Wolf, most of those bikes were WAY before my first steps onto the motorcycling ladder. However it is nice to see some of the old clanckers still being used, although that sort of thing is not for me, I much prefer the more modern stuff.

Geoff, I will be there all weekend and am planning bto travell down tomorrow morning weather permitting, there are torrential storms here at the moment and the forecast isn't looking good.....are you planning to visit ?

I have a trailer which I transport the bikes in and it makes anice comfy bedroom whilst I'm away complete with cooking facilities and a matress..better than canvas methinks ..... seen here at a recent Triples Rally, my bikes outside and me tucked up inside  :mfr_lol:

Yes I am coming down on Sunday, and am really looking forward to it, I have attended the festival for the last 3 years and it just keeps getting better, although the weather may keep numbers down this time, because as we know a lot of bikers wont turn out when its raining :whistling:   and as you state the forecast is not brilliant. But hey fairing, large screen, Goretex kit.      !!!!!!!!!     Bring it on.    I'll search you out and we can have a chin wag.

Geoff Ive been and gone !!!!! (home) so I won't be able to meet you, sorry

What a nightmare... dreadful weather on the way down on Friday, omly to find my bike had
fallen over in the trailer and dumped all its gearbox oil all over my matress, which it landed on, thank god (no Damage done) phew I WAS lucky.

We wandered round on Friday afternoon, and had a few beers on Friday night, I had no alternatiuve but to sleep in my car. the end result was that my already bad back was totally destroyed by yesterday morning.....aaaaargh bloody agony, and no chance of participating in the parade laps

Soooooo, I came home yesterday afternoon    .

However, here are some pictures, if you haven't ever been to the Festival then you truly do not know what youre missing it is without doubt the greatest gathering/display of bikes of all types creed and backgound possibly in the world... YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD  :mfr_lol:

Love the Triton. Every schoolboys wet dream (appart from Rachel Welsh and Ursula Andress) back in the 60's.

Roger, sorry to hear your tale of woe, sounds like your were very unlucky. and also very very lucky all in one fell swoop.I would think that when you saw the bike on its side in the trailer that you wanted to die. Anyway you missed a real treat today, lovely weather, and an utterly fabulous festival of bikes and riders doing what they both do best, bumped into about 4 different people that I knew, and had a great day, I just love this meeting. Roll on next year.

Thanks Geoff, glad that you had a great day at the festival.

I was lucky that no damage occured, and that the bike is still turning over without any Hydrolock which would have been a catastrophy

Any ways I'll be seeing you soon I'm sure

Very nice, but not a real Kawasaki.
The motor is a Zook (GSXR1000 from the look of it).
I have a pic somewhere at home of a Z900 that was done "proper".
Ally frame, bored, balanced and tuned original motor, monoshock rear, ZZR front forks and the whole thing just looked right.

why would anyone put a suzuki engine in a kawasaki , no probelm with chopping it and modding it if thats your bag , but not someone else engine ??

cos a GSX 1100 engine is way more powerful than a 903cc Kwak (and is doesn't look wrong either)

Probably for the same reason as some put Triumph engines in a Norton Frame...in their mind its the 'best of both worlds'

I had a brief look last night but can't find the image.
However, i did find a pic of a similar one online.

Now THAT is how a Z900 should look.
This one is from Western Australia.
I'll keep looking.
