Greetings
Picked up my new GTR...yes green  from Seastar Superbikes on Thursday, scrubbed the tyres in on Friday...in the torrential rain  and put 300 miles on it yesterday
Had a couple of ZZR1400 then a Multisrada 1200 before coming back to the green machines.
My little nest of vipers is my full time pillion, but numerous foot operations kept her off the bike for two years. Now I will say at this point, that she is the best...letting me me indulge my addiction as a petrol head when ever the urge for something else gets to me :tank: It was during that time I decided to change my ZZR for something else...and looked at the GTR then. But for the first time in 34 years she said no ...telling me she didn't like it...NO WAY. I was gutted  so ended up with the Multistrada.
Two years later she is back in the saddle, and informed me that she didn't like the vibey Multi and lack of wind protection...so off I go looking for something different  no not another wife...bike :sweatdrop:. As we left Seastar Superbikes a few weeks ago my wife spotted a bike she fell in love with, the strangest thing is that it was the GTR  the very same machine she said NO WAY to nearly two years earlier :help:...work that one out :surrender: :surrender:
Anyway I am back with my KWAK with my querky missus as my pillion
Ha ha nice one numb, good to see everyone's happy now ...... womens logic hey  :whistling:
It's a womans prerogative to change their minds ya know )apparently)......any ways if she thought that the Multistrada was a better looker than the GTR its not her foot that needed operating on :mfr_lol:
Hey, welcome Numbnuts, this is a great forum with active members who collectively probably know more aboiut the GTR than Kawasaki Heavy Industries
There's plenty of information, banter and just a little piss taking...so join in..... you're very :185:

:185: Woman eh, dont ya just love em  Anyway she should be a happy camper perched on the back of the GTR. And Im sure you will enjoy it too. As a GTR owner you have found the best place to be regarding help and assistance. Oh and we tend to have a bit of a titter as well  Enjoy the bike and the forum. cheers Geoff
Welcome aboard Numbnuts,
Never let women buy or specify motorcycles. :nono:
Non-riding women apply the same criteria at they do to buying shoes.
Is it pretty?
What colour is it?
Will it make the girls at work envious?
Does it have the right label?
:mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
I'll bet that the original GTR was Black or Silver (the one she didn't like) and the new one is either the Green or Blue.
So, I'm not surprised ya ended up on a Ducati  although I'm not sure I'd describe a Multistrada as pretty.
It's a hoot to ride but not exactly a good bike for pillions with that rock hard saddle and supermoto type handling.
My better half rides pillion frequently and although she prefers my old GTR1000 (super-comfy saddle fitted) she still likes the 1400. When I get the £££ together to afford another Russell for the 1400 then she'll love the 1400 again.
Ideally she would like me to get a Goldwing that she could decorate with bling.
I told her that I will do that when we win the lottery and not before.
I will need at least 5 or 6 other bikes in the garage before I could stand to have a BlingWing in there.
Yes, I have ridden one and while it does handle surprisingly well, it's DULL!!
Me, I'm Kawasaki to the core. :punk: :punk:
+1 NumbNuts ... welcome to you and Mrs Nuts, ... glad to hear you made not only the correct choice of bike but colour too ... sorry, have I mentioned colour here before on this forum ?? :agree:
