Me and five mates who are heathens when it comes to the GTR will be coming up to Leeds on the 20th July for the weekend to have a ride round, my common law son in law has family in Ilkley so might give them a call but the rest of the weekend will be exploring, anybody have a good ride around the area we can do?
We will have a Sprint x 2, BMW, TL1000, Daytona, mine plus FJR 1300.
Alan
That sounds like a great idea. If your'e up for the weekend you could do a lot worse than heading up towards The Lakes. Pop to the bridge, you'll see 100milesaway and possibly Old Coney there most weekends.
Ah yes do I hear my name mentioned. Alan I could meet up with you if you like, and escort you and your pals on an epic tour of the world famous Yorkshire dales, just follow my pink arm bands for the time of your lives,
No motorways included. :mfr_lol:

If Geoff and 100milesaway are one and the same person then we would be very happy to take you up on the offer of a guided tour of the Yorkshire area, there will be six of us coming up on the 20th and looking to ride Saturday, speaking to Asif today he might be up for it as well, the more the merrier.
No idea where we're staying but will find out and if your still happy to oblige then we can arrange something.
Thanks
Alan
No problem Alan, just keep me informed. If you are not visiting your people in Ilkley, maybe you could stay nearer to the dales, but you and your pals decide I will fall in with whatever you decide.
Geoff are you at the Bridge tommora ?.....10 bells?
EDIT................its absolutely chucking it down here.....now I don't mind a bit of drizzly weather but I won't be venturing out in this stuff,
Meeting the lads at 9 bells !!!!!!!!!!!Whatever the weather.

Clear blue sky in the Dales when I left at 7.45.!!!!!!!!!!!But as I approached Hawes I spotted the biggest rainbow in the world, and a jet black sky straight ahead, sure enough soon after it was chucking it down, and it was the same when I arrived at the Bridge. But undetered we plodded on into Teasdale, and onward to Hexham, and home via Alston, and Middleton -in- Teasdale. We actually got lucky, as about an hour after we left the Bridge it stopped raining and the rest of the day was dry and bright, ended up a very good day indeed.
glad that you had a good ride out Geoff, and that the weather improved......it got better here also, but I couldn't get out on the bike as a couple of things cropped up which I needed to deal with
Another time me olde chum
