Title: Moselle Tour
Post by: routemaster on June 08, 2012, 09:36:25 PM
Hi

A few of us, including Fatharry recently went on a 6 day tour with 4 days spent throughly enjoying ourselves riding around and exploring the roads and the hairpins in the Moselle region.

We stayed at the Zur Post hotel in Klotten, the hotel is one of number of hotels which is geared up to cater for bikers and we used it as a base to tour around each day. The food in the hotel was extremely good. The weather was generally good, Sunday we had some rain and what you can only describe as torrential rain/torrents when traveling through Belguim on the way back on Monday

Please find below links to various videos I took on day 2 and day 3 of the tour.
Kind regards

Steve

Thank you kind sir. It was thoroughly enjoyable and when look at the map it shows how tight some of those hairpins actually are and beingout there how steep some of the gradients and bends are :-)

This and other tours just confirm to me just how good the GTR is as a sports tourer. One day you are tanking it down the unrestricted Autobhans at 120+ in complete comfort and the next day you are having great fun with the bike in second going through some very long tight twisties at speed - doing nearly of the rides on throttle sense and minimal use of the brakes - oh what fun :-) :-) :-) :-)

One other comment is on the PR3's - they are brilliant in terms of handling and grip both in the dry on tight twisties and in torrential rain on autobhans coming back. I never had a moments concern travelling at speed in the torrential rain

Kind regards

Steve
