Title: Reflective decals
Post by: Kwikasfuki on January 06, 2010, 01:56:49 AM
Just bought some from Real Time Industries (http://realtimeindustries.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=36). Click on the link to see pics.
I've ordered in red as I'm not sure if white decals are legal in the UK at the rear.

I will post pics of installation once I get them

I'll check and see what I paid. However, they are not like the white ones in the pic which ate only activated when a beam is shone in them. The red ones are always visible. And they do look crap.

Your not doing yourself any favours telling everyone the red ones are crap over and over again ;D ;D

I didnt realise that the white ones are only visible when hit by headlight, that does sound a lot better.

I'll take a pic just to show how crap it is

On the weekend I swapped bikes with my friends ST1100. I was shocked at how little visibility there is on the GTR. There's the brake/running leds, but that is it. A car at night would struggle to spot you, especially if you have a black GTR.

So I'm going for function over form. They may look crap but I can live with that.

Since you are buying hyperwhite from Hyperlites, check out their modulated braking lights, extremely bright as well. NO NO i do not work for them !!!

Going to buy the white ones. Plenty of trucks on the motorway with white rear reflection

Mr Bates, if your intention is to get noticed then I believe you have accomplished that aim.

I will refrain from making any further comments.

In my defense I did say they look crap  ;D Anyways, ordered the white ones.

Actually, I still have a set of the red ones to sell

The black decals went on today. I decided to leave the red decal on as well since it still will help the bike get noticed more.

Here's how it looks normal.

And with a light reflecting off the panniers
