Cheers Guys!

It is sublime, superbly smooth and unbelievably comfortable.

The GTR was comfy but this is a whole new level.  The whole thing is to be honest.

And that engine.  OMG THAT ENGINE - I am seriuosly thinking of divorcing the wife and marrying the bike!

Returning 49mpg, even under 600 miles, and even though running in  :innocent:

It feels so planted through corners and is perfectly balanced.  Scraped right peg with 20 miles on it as it is so confidence inspiring.

It really is the ultimate machine (in my eyes)

I loved the GTR, didn't intend to change it for at least another year but got a great deal on the Bee Em.  I have not looked back in the past week although I have to say there is nothing at all wrong with the Kawasaki.  I will always have a special place in my heart for them.

But did I mention the engine on the K16?  Oh, that engine.................

Apart from the somewhat prohibitive cost (£1700.00!!!!!!) I actually don't like the look of the Phil.  An dthe sound made by (that) engine is gorgeous anyway!

I've just spent the last hour reading reviews of the GT.

I think I will take one for a test ride.

But will be with the GTR for a long time yet

Asif .. you are being VERY brave !! Winny told me NOT to take a test ride as I think he knows I am one of those who would just ride back to the dealer and say " Yep, I'll have one ! "
If you do book one ... please tell !  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Looking to buy a house now so no chance of me getting one in the near future.

Still want to ride one and satisfy my own curiosity.

Rusty is spot on Asif!

I wasn't going to test one again, did it almost by accident and did just what Rusty says!

Went back and bought one!!

Yeah I can understand that. I hired a GTR for a weeks holiday to Cornwall.  Loved it so much I came home and bought one.  With hindsight I could have saved several hundred pounds of rental which could have been more wisely spent on, dare I say it, inner pannier bags.

Andrew,

Would you share where you hired from please? Never heard of anyone hiring a GTR before.

Martin.

Certainly was Astle'

Very good service, no snobbery and an overall pleasant way of having a huge wedge of money taken from me!
