hi guys
after just treating my self to a 07 plate GTR of which i must say cant get the grin off my face when im out on it should have bought one ages ago, anyway enough chit chat,
what i would like to know is i want to fit my top box which is a kappa box and obviously the plate when speaking to a bike shop they say i have to but all new adapter plate but looking at the site it looks like it does away with the standard rear rack which i would really like to keep,is there any way of fitting a plate to the existing rack so i can mount my top box even if it means changing the box and plate to a givi one, has any member come across this problem

Is there a big difference between the Kappa box and the Givi box? I have a cheap Givi box and Givi mounting plate. Givi's mounting plate simply fixes onto the original Kawasaki rear plate and then the box just mounts as normal.
no there is not much difference and what you have sounds just what i need any idea where you got yours from been lookingon the web and the ones i find all need some alu rack to fit as well dont really want to spoil the lines with that fitted

I got mine of Ebay. It was old stock and the box and rack, brand new cost me £35. But even the larger one I sold I sold for less than £30.
There's plenty out there, just keep looking and be patient. ;D
Out of interest, whereabouts in the country are you?
hi buddy
i have just moved house to sunny Basingstoke Hampshire
is there a GTR meet at any time of the year?
cheers
tony
It would be awesome if we could arrange a mid year owners meeting somewhere convenient for all the members. Couple of days away from home, hotel accomodation, good food, some entertainment etc. Sounds like a plan, I'd certainly be up for it.
hi buddy
sounds like a plan who can arrange this type of meeting? could even consider camping as another option
cheers
tony
Anybody can arrange it. If you have a location and date in mind, throw it into the arena and lets see where it takes us.
Better still I'll start a thread off in General Discussion and lets see what happens. :)
