Other piece of info can anyone tell me how many keys you should get when you buy a gtr.Thxs in advance
It does depend on the year, I think the latest model possibly only comes with one. However the 07, 08 & 09 models will, or should come with two key fobs, each will have a key inside it.
If you are buying a used GTR and there is only one fob, either walk away or get the dealer to provide and program a second fob for you. A far as I know if you only have one key and you lose it you will have to replace the ECU or maybe the KIPASS ECU either way it will be bloody expensive.
Cut a deal with the seller before you hand over your cash.
2010 model comes with one normal key fob (i.e. one that works with KiPass at a decent distance) plus an emergency fob that has to be mounted in a special slot on the headstock to work. Dealer told me that an extra fob would be about £250, and you only need proof of ownership of the bike - thus it is fine to get another if you lose the original fob.
Cannot comment on 2009 or before.

the keys inside the remote fobs and the ignition "knob" fit the panniers on mine!
Never tried that on mine, I'll have to now though, how bizarre!
Yup, the stove key and key from FOB fit the panniers and fuel tank. I knew the FOB key fitted the pannier and tank, but didn't even know the stove could be pulled out, let alone there was a key! Don't use the stove key though - it can bend easily.

Why don't you make your subject title "How may keys does a GTR have?" :)
Andy i all ready have bought the gtr and at the time of post was just wondering how many keys /fobs were with a 08 gtr
