After some delay my bike went into Scorpion for its exhaust last week. Picked it up Friday and it looks great. Definately more growly on tick over but not overly loud, which suits me fine. I'm off to Spain soon so I'll report when I get back, should be plenty of time to find any problems!! The exhaust is "e" marked so shouldn't be a problem abroad, no remapping required but makes a few more BHP on the dyno(143 with the baffle out as opposed to 137 with the standard exhaust and 141 with the baffle in.) Don't know the price' but it will be in the catologue from the next couple of weeks.
I'll add some more pics with the panniers on.
Chris
Is that a dual exhaust?
Looks good that :punk:.....
No its not a dual system, although they did say they have just done one for the newZZR1400. All in all quite happy with it though. They do the usual variety of cans but said that the brushed stainless one was probably the most robust for a bike of this size.
Chris
Even I like that...... :whistling:
Very nice. will be keeping an eye on the price.
Bradders, how are you getting on with the Scorpion? Thinking of getting one.

Where could you buy one from?
Alan
Buy from Scorpion direct, or here, http://www.twowheel.co.uk - both are £299 but free shipping at Two Wheel Centre.
The fitment says GTR1400 2010 on. Mine is an 09 so I contacted Scorpion to see if the Serket silencer will fit - answer 'yes'.
If I buy I will buy direct just in case there is an issue with 09 fitment. You also get lifetime warranty and if you trash it, a replacement for half price. All made in england it says on the web.
I wanted a bit more feed back from Bradders before I decide to buy.
That is a good looking pipe, which suits the GTR well.
I still fancy a twin set up....but cant a££ord.

Hi
Had the Scorpion on for about 2500 miles now and the finish is still unmarked. Fuelling is unaffected and the bike sounds great when you open it up. Cruising round and at legal-ish motorway speeds its fairly quiet so not too much of a problem on long journeys but over the Pyrenees last month it sounded awesome.
Overall a very happy bunny!!
I think the only difference between 2010 models and the earlier bikes is the heat shield. I made Scorpion aware of that when they made the pattern so I would buy direct and speak to them, they will just make the link pipe without the brackets for the shield.
Alternatively you could keep the brackets, buy a shield from Kawasaki and have cool feet!
Chris
Do you have a web page or phone number for Scorpion? I am having an adult moment trying to find one.

Thanks for the feed back Chris.
Are you running with the baffle in or out? Do you wear ear plugs? I don't want much more noise, I'm more interested in the looks/weight saving and clean fuelling. (I'm in the hate the look of the original can camp)
Yes I thought I might get a heat shield from K. Any body know how much?
Jerry
Hmmmmmm.. nice one, looks great. :agree:
Hi
Baffle in, always wear ear plugs. Scorpion said it didn't make much difference whether the baffle was in or out noise wise so I haven't bothered to try it. Like you, I didn't want lots of noise just better looks and less weight than the original. Mrs B said it was a bit loud on the back when we were going over the passes (might have been something to do with the amount of acceleration!)but less so than most other aftermarket cans I think.
Chris
I had a response from Scorpion direct,
"Prices are £299.00 for stainless steel and £349.00 for carbon or titanium and delivery would be 7-10 days.
Unfortunately our exhaust doesn't include the heatshield".
Maybe i might just have to have one.
