Took the plunge today and went down to Hein Gericke and bought a new lid.
Previously used a Nolan N102 which I have owned for about four years and in fairness couldn't really fault it for what it cost and for what I wanted from a helmet. But times change and I now own a beautiful Schuberth C3 in shiny black to match the bike. ;D ;D
It's a great fit, extremely light and has a curtain on the underside which hugs your neck all the way around significantly reducing and controlling the amount of air which would normally enter your helmet causing excessive noise.
Managed to get it for a reasonable price too so that was a bonus. :)
I've had Arai for the last ten years, but have seen some cheap blue-tooth included units which get varying reviews. All depends on my odd shaped head tho!
Quite fancy a Flip with built in sunvisor ;D
+1 to the Schuberth C3. Going on to two years and it is a brilliant helmet, well worth the money. Fits nicely, very comfortable and light. I wanted white but they only had silver in stock. I did favour black helmets but have decided lighter colour helmets provide greater visibility.
NB, do you have the C3 also? I did consider the white helmet but it was to special order only and the silver helmet was even more money because it has a metallic finish. The black helmet will compliment the bike quite well.
Because I wear glasses I find the flip up helmets are a must. Its just too much of a pain removing glasses to put a full face lid on and then squeezing the glasses down the side of the helmet.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the glasses. I had my eyes lazered a year ago.
The Schuberth are sposed to be quiet too, which temps me somewhat!
Yup, have the C3 myself.
Rather than Have my eyes given the laser treatment I'm option for Ortho-K which is reversible.
sounds interesting, never heard of it before!
It would be far easier if you could just buy prescription visor's. :)
Yeah true or just get new eyes. I'll have the eagle variety please ;D
