Post by: tapps on April 30, 2012, 07:11:35 PM
dont laugh,i mate of mine has a motorcycle dryer (blower) they seem to be a bit on the pricey side,my guess a leaf blower would do the same job surely (cheaper) to,i may have to do a little homework on this, guaranteed to get the water out of the nook's & crannie's.save's using a chamiouse leather. :mfr_lol:

That's what might happen in Bradford, but this way, we take care of our neighbourhood (or try to)  :mfr_lol:

On a serious note Tapps, theres a lad at work who works in the bodyshop selling a Black & Decker leaf blower, if its still for sale I'll enquire for you, he only wanted £20 I think.

A motorcycle dryer? Kwikas,... we REALLY need a ROTFLMAO smiley!

Jeez people, go out and RIDE IT!
If it ever stops raining it'll soon dry out.
Next thing you'll be wrapping it in bubblewrap and buying it nice fluffy tyre-slippers.

It's a  :censored: :censored: motorcycle, not a mistress, pet, or a piece of butt-jewelry (Harley). <LOL>  :biker3:

Come to think of it, my GTR1000 has a Leather Bra. <PHWOAARR>

I have a leaf blower/sucker that I bought in a rush, its been used twice and its very good, but now it lives in the shed and doesn't get used, I have a compressor which I use to blow water off the GTR after a wash, being very careful not to blast water into switches etc.

I just take the bike for a quick spin after a wash, that does all the drying it needs

Nobody use a chamois leather anymore?
I feel old now! Maybe I'll have to start with the leaf blower and move with the times.

Of course the other option is to put the bike away wet and turn the fan heaters on in the garage...... I can usually get the tempature in there to about 40deg!!  :whistling:

Better than Chamois leather, I use Meguiars Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel - Totally awesome!

I use microfibre cloths after washing the bike.
Mostly to avoid getting limescale rings where the droplets dry.
The joys of living in a hardwater area.
