well it's a bit of a long story  but here goes's..! when I collected my "best colour" magnesium  from the dealer, I went over it with a fine toothcombe. however, in my defence they brought it to the front of the shop and it had just started to rain so did not noticed there was a airline crack just under the bolt that secures the cowling that houses the heated grips and the glove box. I only noticed this the next day when I was wiping the bike down, some heavy handed monkey most likely one of thoses spottie apprentices must have overtightened the bolt when fitting. anyway it was hardly noticeable and I did not buy the gtr locally and felt a bit of a cheeky sod asking the local dealer to replace it, when I pointed out to him he was a tight sod for not matching the deal. so decided to leave it, but last week I noticed the airline crack had decided to airline the other way as well  well I was well miffed and thought :shit: so phoned Mr kawasaki and told them the story and was ready to tell them just what I thought of them just incase they tried to "fob me off" due to it being 15 months ago so was :sweatdrop:ing a bit  but guess what..! the very nice man on the phone replied no problem sir, we will send a new part to your local kawasaki dealer who will give you a call when it arrives and arange a convenient time with yourself to be fitted. this of course sir, is under warranty. and he also added, may I take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of the dealer and to say thank for choosing kawasaki. I was called buy the dealer the same day to advise me kawasaki as authorised the fittment and replacement part and 2 days later phoned to say the part had arrived and they could fit the part the next day which I said  to "well that will ding dang do for me..! now I'm as happy as a pig in :shit: again
Yup - Mr K is very good with warranty and custom er service. A+1 from me too!
Top result there Dave.

Fickle as a blonde...............
Oh yea of little faith ....good 'ol Mr k comes up trumps again
BTW Ive told you lot before that you need a....................[[GREEN ONE[/b]
Tsk..... as usual you are all wrong as everyone knows BLACK ones are faster :gunsmilie:
BLUE, BLUE, BLUE.......
One thing we know for sure is the magnesium is the slowest colour cause LW has one :mfr_lol:
Black is definitely the fastest. The blues and greens can only aspire to be black.
Lets not forget I can achieve 65.5 mpg on my GTR. :mfr_lol:
:biker3:
And lets not forget those chicken strips on my machine, or should I say lack of, if I remember correctly yours were wider than the tyres themselves.
:whistling:
Ahem.
The 65.5mpg is conclusive evidence of the magnesium being the slowest colour
As for the chicken strips I have no idea what you're on about :whistling:
what are chicken strips..... .... none of that sort of thing on my tyres..... :gunsmilie:

None on mine either but kwikasfuki cant get rid of his no matter how hard he tries.
They're not chicken strip, c'mon boys they're lean angle wear indicators :mfr_lol:
or 'Granny stripes' :mfr_lol:
5mm chicken strip is exceptable in my book  anything less and your dam close to the tyres limit :sweatdrop: and then you could end up with a gravel strip  besides, what's chicken strips got to do with the kawasaki warranty  don't think kawasaki would agree to have the gravel stip removed from the paint finish if the gtr was to slide down the road for a few hundred yards..!
Wonder if the warranty covers the missing hero blobs on the pegs then :whistling:

just as a note on this point, whilst i doff my cap at those who ride in the comfort of their limits.. your wonderful GTR is capable of so much more.
It should give you comfort to know that should you get in a bit hot, just tip it in, clench, and gently apply some thottle... something magical will happen and the GTR will lean over like a Moto GP bike and fire you out of the corner, such is the poise, grace and balance.
It will happily go right off the tread on the back, and down to about 2mm on the front..... :smartass:
Of course this could just be the BLACK ones... :whistling:
:mfr_lol: Nice one

Mr mogster. it's not a case of riding within one limits with the gtr1400. I bought the gtr1400 for touring and comfort not to race around corners with my knee down. I buy bikes for what their intended for, so prefer supersports for those sunny sunday blasts. which is why I've just p/x the zzr1400 for a "new" zx6r. but that doesn't mean I'm going to race round like a man possessed either! like my signature states..! I'm getting on now, but not yet passed it  which basically means, you can still have fun  without meeting your maker to soon..! seriously thou, I've had many supersports over the years, which include.. 2xcbr600's, 2xgsxr600's, zx6r g2, zx636cf6, and zx7r and up to 5 years ago I did track days regularly. I don't intend on tracking the new zx6r :nono: but I do miss that style of riding, so decided to buy another supersport. I also found that the zzr1400 and the gtr1400 are very similar in many ways and the fact that I've had the zzr1400 for 4 years and now feel it's run it's course, so decided it's time to move on
No offence meant Mr 2kwacks, I usually ride in proper manner on the GTR as I have the Tuono fer Hooning, all i was saying is that the GTR has a fine chassis and is well balanced, so it is capable of chasing down, passing and humiliating sports bike riders...should the devil whisper in your ear. :gunsmilie:
"Should the devil whisper in your ear" ...... like it lots ! :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Mr mogster absolutely no offence taken. I opologise if my reply sounded a bit anal, it wasn't meant to sound that way..! I agree the gtr1400 is a fine handling machine. I found that out, last july when myself and a few mates went via the black mountains as part of our cornwall tour, I found on the accasion I did push it harder, it gave me no concerns to worry in that department.
