Only had my GTR for a month now and really enjoying it, next Wednesday my brother in law and myself are off to Monza for the world superbike round (he's on a BMW GS). Bit of a bucket list trip for me as have always enjoyed any Motorsport, especially bike racing and Monza is one of the iconic tracks I have not made it too.
We are taking two days to get down there and have three days to get back so looking forward to some of the Swiss alps roads and also black Forrest roads on the way back.
Any bucket list racing tracks you have yet to get too? Mine are Daytona, Talladega and Pau.
Hoping that the bike is going to live up to its reputation as a mile muncher....
Tis a shame you are in a rush to get there as Spa is on the way..... watch out if you find yourself on Italian toll roads you can get some what 'flecced' :hammer:
Me and Smarty went to Monza two years ago.. :gunsmilie:
Went to Spa last year to see sportscars and is on this weekend too but the thought of Monza and all those Brits in WSBK this year was too good an opportunity.
Brother in law has a Zumo sat nav system so thanks for the tip about Italian toll roads we will try to avoid.
Is there plenty of bike parking at the Monza track?
yup theres plenty pf parking but tis in the middle of the Town and the traffic is uttery horrid,
make sure you come in from the North, either down the SS36 or the SP51.... unless of course you want a real laugh and then you can stray a bit closer to Milan
Bloody hell, feel sorry fer this guy... all the way to Monza to watch 8 laps of WSB... :hammer:
And the rain, don't forget the rain.
Sykes was awesome in those 8 laps though.
Alan

That they are! Feel so sorry for anyone who went to watch. 3 of my friends are there, I was supposed to be but had to cancel, they left Friday lunchtime, back tomorrow night, she'd load of cash for no racing a 1000 ish miles of wet roads. Poor buggers
Yeah it was a bloody washout, and a shame for those that made the effort to go and watch
