Go on admit it... you missed me...
The Post office and customs..... you usless money grabbing tossers!!! :hammer: ..... as might remember I have ordered a new Bike Cam, now I placed the order in the US of A on the 14th, that morning it was dispatched from the Chinese warehouse, it arrived in Hong kong the same day and was then sent to the UK......
where it arrived the following morning ,15th... and then it sat there for 7 bloody days!!!!! before someone decided it wasn't a laser death ray,
then it arrived at the depot where it has sat since, fortunatley I checked the tracking yesterday and discovered it whereabouts..... sooooo now i have to drive 10 miles and get it, pay import tax and also a charge for Parcel farce to have 'held the item'..... what so some bloke has been standing there for 2 days clutching my camera to his chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bastards!!!! :hammer: :hammer:
HM Revenue & Customs - only taking the revenue that would have been required had the item been bought in UK or EU to support UK businesses.
Post Office - only ensuring the continuance of their first class service and enforcing point one.
The other side of the coin - how many times have goods 'slipped' through without attracting revenue :whistling:
Over the years I've been stung on many occasions by both H.M Customs & Excise and also the Post Office, on one occasion I was relieved of £93.00 Customs and £18,00 Postage, for the same item ! I wasn't happy BUT as it was an N.O.S seat for my Bridgestone, I kinda convinced myself it was ok because I knew I couldn't get another anywhere else.
As W.S says there have also been lots of occasions when I've received rare parts and actually paid nothing to H.M Customs or the P.O
So it kinda levels itself out
