We had a great ride out starting at Devils Bridge with a Brew, where about 50 of the Nene Valley chapter of Hardly davi~wotsits turned up making lots of 'spud' noises and parading around in arseless chaps, they were also celebrating St Georges day (a day early) and some were dressed in period costume

We rode up the Lythe Valley (famous for its Damson fruits) through Bowland Bridge, stopping to take in the breathtaking views over Lake Windermere from Gummers How vantage point

Then we headed up the West coast road to Bootle where we indulged in Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding, mmmmmmm tasty ~ its a good job we didn't go to Bowness on Windermere to Vinegar Jones's chippy cos it burnt down this afternoon

here we are arriving at Bootle

After a belly buster we made our way past Stanton Bridge over Eskdale which to be honest is probably one of the finest views in the U.K (unless you think you know better  :mfr_lol:)

who needs Austria....... BTW we even enjoyed warm sunshine

It was necessary to practice a Le-Mans style dash for our bikes  :mfr_lol:..actually we thought the self timer on the camera would take a picture of some grass

WOW ! that view

Then back to my place to talk bollox about bikes and another brew

A great ride out, thanks to Geoff (100miles away) Gordy and Graham, who made the day special

Yes great day Rog, me and the boys enjoyed it thoroughly. Good roads, great scenery, smashin food, and most of all good company. Four blokes, four bikes, meandering around gods country=happy days. Lovely pickies too. Me and the lads thank you for your hospitality, and we will be talking about the big "purple" for years to come, 750 ccs of pure class.

I ditched the trip to the tip and went out to Squires in Leeds, very wet it was too.

Met up with the RoSPA gang and went out for a training ride with them. Got back to this..........
