Title: fitted hugger/creaking sound
Post by: tapps on April 20, 2012, 07:25:27 PM
i fitted my skidmarx rear hugger today, after fitting it & checking every thing was tight,i pushed it off the main stand & there was a creaking sound,if i put pressure on the rear end it would keep making the sound,a mate turned up so i told him,he touched the bottom of the hugger & the sound had gone, let go & it was there again, there is clearance on both side's,top & bottom,i moved it slightly & the sound had gone, anyone else found this after fitting one.

Funnily enough I had this with my Skidmarx hugger. Simple diagnosis, its rubbing on the undertray or tyre somewhere when you put weight on the rear.
