Title: Muc Off visor cleaner
Post by: O.C. on April 14, 2012, 02:21:45 PM
I am informed that MucOff visor cleaner can, and in fact has had detrimental effects on the Side panel clip attachments of some model Arai helmets.

Basically the upper 'L' shaped plastic clip can in fact break due to its coming into contact with the MucOff product

A pal of mine has had his whole visor fly off whilst travelling at speed, as a direct result of the aforementioned attachment clips 'melting' away

Personally I think that Muc Off products are very good and this may only be applicable to Arai helmets.

Best way to clean a visor us to get some of them cheap kitchen wipes, bung a few in a zip lock bag.... when ya stop fer a coffee, place the wipe on the visor, whilst drinking ones coffee it will gently soak the flies and crap off......

give the visor a quick wipe, there is no abrasive scratchy-ness going on and finaly buff with a tissue..... job done!  :smartass:
