I know I know I know ... if it's not Rukka then I'm banging on about other stuff but this Gtr we all have in the garage or out the back or where ever .. is just a brilliant bit of kit .. isn't it ?
A very wet ride back from London and you know it was almost, well in fact it was an absolute pleasure to do it on the Gtr ... pissing with rain, not too cold, grips just on "warm", screen up and off we go .... out over Putney Bridge, A3, then A243 to Chessington and A24 down to Worthing ... some bendy bits and some fast bits and the bike just loved it ....far right of the outside lane, nice and safe , and the Gtr was purring like a good un ... I could see that windscreen wipers were going, I could see the spray but it was as if i was cocooned in my Gtr bubble of serenity and tranquility !! ( like it ! ). So i would just like to thank Mr Kawasaki and his design crew for making what is for me the "best " bike I have ever owned and possibly ever ridden.
There you go ... just wanted to say it ! :mfr_lol:
Great testimonial Rusty and some daily commute - very impressive. Makes what used to be mine- Wandsworth to South Key - seem insignificant. It was just long enough to have me buzzy on arrival.
I believe that London to Worthing, particularly in Winter, would have been too tiring after nine or ten hours of stress.
But then, you are, I imagine, a yougster :cheesy: In any case..respect
Be safe buddy.

I'm still laughing about the youngster comment

Well... :mfr_lol: how would I know? Just thought that anyone with a daily140 mile round trip to work can't be too decrepit :nono: :mfr_lol:
Thank you Noks  .... remember boys, it's all in the mind .. you are only as old as you feel .. and I am still very much a youngster   !
TBH that is not a DAILY ride .. my work journey is sometimes a mix of train to London, or ride to Gatwick and get the Gatwick Express and ride home later or ride to Guildford ( stay with mother ) and then ride in to London very early morning and or just do the long ride if my duties are all messed up .... it matters not the Gtr takes it all in its stride !
Ps .. Winny ... not long to go now my friend ... get that comfy seat ready in the NARPO Bar !!!
Yes Rusty could not agree more. On Sunday I went with two mates one on a 600 diversion and the other on a 1200 gs BMW to Chollerford, and the region around Hadrians wall. On the way back towards Alston the weather which up until then had been pretty decent took a turn for the worst, and the stretch from Alston via Hartside top down to Penrith was as grim as it gets, lashing with rain, blowing like :censored: and cloud down on the road which made visibility next to zero. It was diabolical.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But sitting there, screen fully up, heated grips likewise, watching my mates getting battered by the elements I though YES this is the bike to be on when the going gets tough. When we arrived in Penrith the weather was back to calm, but when we stopped for fuel both my pals looked bedraggled, and were dripping wet (on the outside) but the old man on the green machine was cozy, and dry, and totally unfazed by what we had just endured. So yes Rusty :agree:  you are bang on, our collective choice of bikes is a great one.
Mr rusty... QUOTE! remember boys, it's all in the mind .. you are only as old as you feel .. "or the woman you feel" like my signature states.. "getting on now, but not yet passed it"
