Something i have pondered over the years , but its definately Blue !
The first steps towards correctly explaining the colour of the sky were taken by John Tyndall in 1859. He discovered that when light passes through a clear fluid ...      :sleep1: :sleep1: :sleep1: :mfr_lol:
What's really fascinating is what we can't see.
Imagine taking a grain of sand, holding it arms length and observing what you can see. The Hubble telescope did the same thing with a pin width of the observable universe for a period of a few weeks. What it found is awesome. Each one of the light sources in the image below is a galaxy.
Amazing.

I am remind of my late eldest brother who had a lifetime fascination for the cosmos and all thing astronomical and, as far as the immensity of space and our place in it is concerned, philosophical...................... he loathed, well that's not fair, feared motorcycles and the possible consequences for his sons if they road on the road.
This is a perfect thread for a wet miserable Easter. thank God I don't use an open razor. :mfr_lol:
Just got back from Sains where impossible numbers of people are buying buying improbable quantities of food. Has there been an announcement which I have missed? :ohplease: tell me, I can handle it :ohplease:
It's all coming together; interest in the sky and food hoarding! There is a UFO approaching :tank: :tank: "........on the beaches and in the hedge rows.......we will never :surrender: :surrender: :surrender:

:mfr_lol: That's an affectionate name for Bradford amongst us Asians. Maybe I'll pop over tonight to sample a curry.
One thing is certain about
Bradistan Bradford. The sky there is always dull and grey.

No dis' intended Mr Wolf :innocent: Curry houses yes yes, Back in the day when I visited Leeds for work, I would beg to go to the big B for a curry but they demurred on grounds of local patriotism :mfr_lol:
They don't make curry in Bradford,... they make Hydrofluoric Acid. :death:
I went to a curry house with my sister and I swear the damned stuff was eating the melamine table top.
I had about 3 mouthfuls and had to leave.
To be fair it was a place in a warehouse rather than a "restaurant".
Took 4 days for my sense of taste to recover.
Some say it never has. :mfr_lol:
As for the colour of the sky, it depends on the time and conditions.
Sometimes it's blue, sometimes gray, sometimes pink or red and can have green and even purple streaks.
It is often black with tiny dots of light in it.
The above it what you see if you look up when outdoors.
It's what we choose to call "sky".
It has no more reality than most other things we think we can "see".
Aaaaah now I see, that Sky.. I thought the thread was about Sky HD or summat
There's sod all on T.V worth watching anyway, even if you do have colourful Sky :mfr_lol:
just a completely random thread to see where it went and who would argue the toss
And what is your view of the results?

Think you have to go "Up Market" for a decent curry in Bradford. Most places are characterless and compete on costs IMHO

:lipsrsealed: I see no oxymoron in the above Mr Wolf. :lipsrsealed:
