Title: Caravans & Motor homes
Post by: Ziderman on April 06, 2012, 09:33:12 PM
Not the place for this really , but so  :censored: off with   :censored: caravans &  :censored: motor homes.
It's the first hol weekend of the year down here..I am one of many who earn nothing from tourism , so  :censored: hate this time of year on roads here in South West. From now till October the rage is upon me.. :gunsmilie:

Dear  Caravan & Motor home owner....If you feel the need to drive at 30mph every where , please occasionally look in your rear view mirror & take note of the tail back you have created & please pull off the F**kin road , so those of us who are trying to go about our daily business like me today at work can get on with it. That way you wont receive quite the same levels of abuse me & many others hurl at you...Fekin cretins....

Even more , if you are lost , dont just stop in the most narrow & dangerous place.....Morons..... :gun_bandana:

Ps I just joined a caravan forum...& after my first post I expect to be banned....!

a rant worthy of myself... :stupid: personaly I feel that there should be law banning them on the road during the hours of daylight, punishable by death....  :death:

Just spent the day with a mate and his missus in their caravan.

Had a similar conversation with them about caravans!

I used to have a touring caravan........  will I now be banned from here?......  and at first was concerned at being seen as the cause of traffic jams.

Fortunately I had a great tow car (140 td Passat with DSG auto box) and I used to curse trucks and other caravans and motorhomes for getting in my way!!

And ?

As for buying a Motor home or caravan. Yes I would like to see them restricted to traveling at night & to be honest many do.
If your going to buy one , just be more considerate to others. Most tractors pull over as soon as they have chance. But there seems to be an arrogance among many or simple ignorance. Worse is you can get 3 or 4 in a line. Surely they must be able to see how annoying this is for others.

Not condoning this but, I often see local Red necks , generally in old work 4x4s swing past the caravans & cut in on them forcing them to swerve , while blaring horns at them & screaming out window at them. Highly dangerous I know....but you can understand the frustration.

Ziderman, you aren't the only one suffering an invasion of homes on wheels...

It gets so bad up here in the Lakes at this time of year that I am actually very reluctant to get my bike out until the weekend is over....yes really  :gun_bandana:

I've looked for the bin bag at Junction 36 of the M6.....you know the one that these people put their brains (if any) in, when they leave the motorway to begin a holiday in the Lakes

I once lived in a poor excuse for a static caravan nearly all year while I was working in Cornwall when I was in my early twenties, brilliant fun.

I posted late last year about a ride I had on the classic A39 hear. It was late Autumn...long & short of it was , winter rides are often much better than the summer ones, because of lack of Grockel wobble  Boxes & day trippers.
