The Shell petrol station just outside Epping..... when i went past it at 8.30 this morning Unleaded was £1.45 a ltr.... 2 hours later it was £1.47!!!!!! for a ltr....of unleaded ffs!... i only twigged it this afternoon when i saw Shagsburys had it at £1.36
and on the subject of expensive... my local cobblers want £48 to put a new zip in the boot..
I may add that this is not a rant..... mearly an afternoon grumble...

That is nothing ... Most if not all Forces have their own fuel supply, which I believe is VAT free so although the cars / bikes are issued with fuel cards it's better to go to a nick and fuel up ... thus saving the job £ ... however, with a looming fuel supply crisis last week and to give us an amount of leeway we were told to hold on to the fuel that we have and use the petrol stsations ..... BP in Mayfair ..... £1.68 a litre ... that is what ... £7 a gallon ?? :eek: :eek: Amazing ... and before you ask ... yes it was busy and NO I wasn't going to waste taxpayers money :angry:
On last nights news a reporter was filmed stood by a filling station that had diesel at £1.72.9 per litre
The stations comment was that they weren't profiteering........yeah right
I bet the cashier had a stocking mask on !
There was a story some years ago in the paper of a local garage chap in the West Country somewhere, who put his fuel prices up up and more up during the fuel protests .. Hideous prices and the locals had no alternative but to pay it ... then of course when everything was back to normal the locals completely ignored his garage and drove the extra distance for their fuel ... he went bust within 6 months. What a clot ! :rolleyes:
