Title: Putting a poi in a Tom Tom rider
Post by: BigAlan on April 01, 2012, 05:08:22 PM
I have a new Tom Tom rider Europe and its going though the window soon, I am trying to plan a trip to Germany and want to put a series of points of interests into it, but it's beat the hell out of me so far, I have tied to add favourites, create a category to put poi positions in, but when I try to create a journey it says I have not done what I know I have inputted in.

Does anybody have an idiots guide as to how I can put locations in places in Europe before i go?

Tyre used to be really good, hopefully it is still OK with Tom Tom, as it no longer works properly on a Garmin

Tyre installed and i have worked out the route and plotted it, saved to both poi and itenary files, which is best do you think?

I done have my tom tom rider here with me but i can bring it into work tomorrow so i guess its a simple matter to sync with this tyre application?

Seems like a cracking bit of software.

click on the options button if itn file has loaded properly to tomtom you will be able in next screen to load itn
this then should show you the file you have stored from tyre click on that and click done its loaded and because you have created it with tyre you final destination and the places you have pick will be in order.hope this helps

OK here goes, so i can load the itn file, what then? do i just expect it to tell me where to go or what? I have mine linked via Bluetooth to my headset and can hear the sat nav usually.

I think the "route tracks" option is for devices that don't have the itinerary function (it will create lots of POI's).

how the itinerary works is it will guide you to each flag on the route but will not tell you to stop, as you load the int route it will ask you if your final flag is your destination then work the route out to get there through each of the flags on the route
